Its the same as other unique stats like TP Bonus, or Naegling's Attack Bonus not working with Ranged WS. Unique stats ON a weapon generally only affect that weapon type. Augments, however, follow a separate set of rules and do work across weapon types.

I have a general Gearswap question. If I have a working mid-shot set up in GS, can I just set the pre-shot with the in game macro?
I'm not the best with coding and there's some type of error with my pre-shot set in GS.

Just go test it and see if it works. AFAIK, in-game macros can conflict with GS commands, so you'll need to check for yourself if you can pre(vanilla) and mid(GS). //showswaps and //debugmode to check.

Easy check is to use equipviewer, make your preshot set naked, then go fire a ranged attack. Check icons to see if your midshot equips. Debug Mode will tell you if there's something wrong.

I wouldn't advise it

Make 2 idle sets, one normal and the other with your preshot gear. If you reload your GS and toggle to the preshot idle set, you should be able to simulate a normal shot as long as you are outside of melee range. You just need to be aware to manually switch to your normal idle gear when damage is incoming.


Ideally you could find and fix the error, but this could probably work if you wanted a workaround in the meantime.

I was able to get the everything working in Gearswap.
I did test the in game Marco for precast and it does appear to work correctly but I didn't spend too much time on it. Thanks all for the help and advice.
