Your point is valid anyway. A sch can out dd a blm on nuke spam, sure. Thing is there are hardly any moments you can do such a thing. Einherjar i guess is one, still, most likely a sch will be set in a melee pt for buffs. Also some einherjar mobs can be quite resisting.

In any kind of battle that rest is needed blm gain grounds. A ideal situation would be AM2->rest->AM2->rest (A nq hmp set could get the mp back in min or so). And if the AM2 is also being bursted the gap increases even more.

You said sch could out dd with only his inner fastcast, no alacrity. We dont have an out nuke option so that spam will never be perfect. There are many variables to that "nuke spam" on this case.

Since I just seen a Faith monk in a meritpo for the first time last night.. I'll agree with that, without some kind of multi-hit weapon theres no way I could keep up with his rate of attacks. Not like I was just destroyed in damage or anything but it was definitly fun to watch and those birds got raped.

What MNK WS does 1,000 damage on a constant basis?

More then you think I'd guess, that monk from last night hit lows of 800 and highs of 1k avg 950+ per asuran fists, Faiths are sexy period.

Dragon Kick + SATA delivers a consistent 1k+ damage(tried and proven during Campaign).

Anybody that believes random info thrown out from anybody should be shot. Show me a parse of said MNK and I'll change my opinion but in no way had MNK ever become ws dmg in a meritpo. As said before; MNK is Dot not WS.

And Kungfuhustle the earlier posts before mine were talking about a MNK constantly delivering 1,000+ ws's every 10secs somehow. I also doubt he was /thf.

And if your sam and your using a soboro in a meritpo your gimping your own dmg. Should have stuck with a 5hit Polearm and you would have been no problem.

Oh yeah, when the sadsack WARs started complaining that they were losing hate to a BLU, legal action ensued. Totally forgot. :(

EDIT: On a serious note, I think BLUs can perform perfectly well in a merit party. Sure we're not a PA SAM, but solo Distortion is pretty nice given Disseverment's piercing bonus and the less-likely-to-be-resisted Ice-based SC. MP isn't really a huge deal, I've merited on BLU with a WHM healer and no Ballad functionally, MP Drainkiss yo.

Well getting hate on Blu is mad-easy, since Blu can spam spike damage.
I personally didn't see a Blu in a merit party when I was playing, ever.

Just spamming Big Three is a great way to get yourself killed and/or run out of MP and become deadweight. 1H Sword is easily the most pathetic "DD" weapon in the game, with an equally pathetic set of WSs to go with it.

I wouldn't merit w/ a blu unless I personally knew them and was trying to do them a favor by pt'ing w/ them.

If I had the choice, I'd rather a quarterstaff over a 1H sword simply because 2H > 1H. Expiacion was a huge, huge, huge letdown. Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse than Savage Blade.

We let a blu in our ls come one time. Cause he made a bet he could keep up w/ mnk and drg. The drg main healed as /blu and still beat the blu by almost 10%. I was mnk/war and the drg was /mage so yea I wrecked face big time lol
