In short, it's regulations that apply to citizens of the EU on data protection and privacy.
The purpose of this post is to provide notice that we plan to apply policy and codes changes to all users of FFXIAH/FFXIVPro to comply with GDPR.
The top line items that I hope are done soon are Right to Access and Right to Erasure. This will give users the right to access all their data and to permanently delete their data. This includes data such as:
- Forum Posts
- Private Messages
- Social Account Names
- Screenshots / Images
- Itemsets / Playersets
- Node (wiki pages)
- Bazaar / Wanted list (linked to a user)
Game related data won't be considered personal but will be subject to change. Such as:
- char data are hidden by default until verified by user
- char data can be downloadable if verified by user

Under "Account" in the right-hand menu, you will find "Delete" in the top toolbar. This nukes your account from orbit because it's the only way to be sure. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

You can now officially tell people to delete themselves and they must comply.
I'm suggesting a rule that requires a user to write a lengthy, attention-grabbing post explaining why they are deleting their account and leave it up for 24 hours before actually deleting their account. :)
