It's cool to see the character creator faces ported over to the in-game models, the shading and skin tone makes them look a bit "doll like" but I'm sure there are some that like that look.
Actually, they seems a little bit doll, because the texture style and shading is much more realistic than the original.
The low model quality of the ingame model and even more their lack of animation cumulated to thiese relalistic texture give a little uncanny valley sensation.
I think it will be even more visible if I could have ported the face model into the game, in noesis without animation they are really really doll like face.
But actually, I am ok with this doll like style, it's present in many korean MMO and some JRPG(star ocean and Xenosaga series) or much more in many fighting game from mid 2000(bloddy roar primal Fury and 4, King of fighter maximum impact, Soulcalibur 2, Dead or alive 2 to 4) and I like it because even if they lack of animation the face are really really more beautiful than vanilla face.
But I am still not totally pleased with my work, I am nearly newbie with photoshop and If I think face can't be more upgraded without editing the model(I have made many many editing to put the shadow in these texture to place them at the same place than vanilla texture), I think it's possible to upgrade the hair for the taru and the hume, but it's beyond my abilities.
Actually, I said in the readme of my mod than I will be very pleased if someone want to upgraded my work by reworking some texture or editing the face model in VRS to make them more beautiful or more "alive".
actually I am not sur to rework every face in the game because there is already some excellent face replacer even if not HD.
I just want my name to be in the credits if my work is used as base
