So, Curator Moogle is returning to coincide with the Egg Hunt event. The highlighted items are Fafnir Statue and... colored chips?

Quote:
You can also obtain colored chips, which are items needed for the strange apparatus machines, the quest "In the Name of Science," and acquiring rune equipment. This is your chance to easily obtain these items from the Curator Moogle without having to buy them from a shop that is only open during certain hours.

You know, in case waiting for the store to open is too much for you. That could be up to HALF AN HOUR, unacceptable! Better put it on a special event, that's the good QoL stuff right there.

Curator Moogle does seem like a natural place to do one or two of the remaining RSE gear upgrades to 119 version though (hands and feet currently available in connection with the special Fafnir/Kirin DI-like event).

Until recently they were following me on Reddit and when I'd post something of my collection he would always comment negative things. I finally found out how to delete "followers" since I never even use Reddit much.
Yeah that's definitely somebody else. I could not care less how much you spend and how you display your garage kits.

Like you weren't even the topic of discussion, unless you're a sock account? I know you always had some weird chip on your shoulder because you were in his group, but really. It's also weird you say "I couldn't care less how much you spend" when that was one of the typical negative comments he would leave

I literally was in the post just before yours. My mistake, though.

Fun fact
Derails happen in conversation, thats a simple topics branch. 99% of the time they die off within a handful of posts. Instead of crying “guize the derail” and throwing fuel on the fire, let it die off.

In general you're right. But this sure wasn't one of the 99%, so I can kinda see the "hey, knock it off" reminders. We're at the third straight day of the derail that started on page 626 and is still going...

Place your bets right here, what'll SE decide a 21000 gil item is worth? An arcane flowerpot, a matching colored drop, a platinum ingot, and an egg helm?

I wonder what they're gonna do with Limbus matters.
They're in an odd position.
For the first ~21 ranks of something you're likely gonna be low on matters, sitting on points if you're unlucky with drops or chests.
Past that threshold you need so many points for each upgrade (and you get like, what, ~9.5k points for a full 135 run including the 3k chest?) that you will eventually be sitting on matters with not enough points.

Rinse & repeat when you start a new item, but it will be slightly faster because you will eventually have leftover matters from the previous item you just brought to R30.

How to solve this? I fear increasing matter drop (like I suggested: 100% from 3k chest, and 2 matters from 5k chest) wouldn't entirely solve it, alone.

I think they need to add a system where on one hand you can buy matters with points, and on the other hand you can also trade matters for points.
With such a system, if the ratio are at least decent, you might have the right flexibility to make upgrading items a bit less frustrating?

You have armor (limbus) weapons and accessories, there will never be a point where you don't have enough points

You just get a level of "weapon" inbetween while you catch up on points

I hope they don't make use the matters to upgrade Prime Weapons. I would really hate that. I really dislike Limbus as it stands and forcing me to do Limbus to upgrade my prime weapon would be annoying as hell.

I'd rather SE make Dynamis Beaucedine/Xarcabard (Divergence) and let us earn RP their to upgrade our Prime Weapon. Just wishful thinking :/ ...My expectations are very low after seeing the Fafnir Statue reward. :/

This is the fix.

I said a while ago: SE *** up with their RP scaling but it is what it is and they cant change it now. Its too low for the first 15 levels and its too high for the last 8 levels. I get the premise of "the first levels cost less, the later levels cost more", but the cockblock is matter and you'll make ~15k units per matter (at CL135). Having a massive parabolic obtainment rate where the first 3 levels are 750/1600/2500 units finishing with 46k/49k/52k for the last 3 units when theres a second required item that has a linear obtainment rate is foolish. On the flipside when you're working on those ranks, you'll have a surplus of matter and you can quickly PL your next piece.
