I spent an embarrassing amount of time getting Light Resistance on a Hades Earring +1 for the past few weeks. I'd say it's 99.99999% abandonware now unless you like building niche sets like me.

Because they can hold off on that and do the same thing with Shinryu later?

Lilith HTBF was added in September 2019. Shinryu HTBF was July 2021. They'll wait and do something similar with the rare Shinryu drops in 2026-27 (because the 4+ years we've had to get Shinryu drops isn't quite long enough torture to pull the "ease up" lever yet, lol). And they'll probably still have an absolute trash drop rate to get a Wyrm God Box, but at least you won't need to isolate a specific piece.
