As part of the second round of updates to Limbus, we're adding some notorious monsters to the mix!

Instead of being controlled by a single party, these notorious monster battles will be open to any number of adventurers.

Overall, they'll kind of be like Domain Invasion battles, but with the following special features:

The notorious monsters won't disappear until they are defeated.
Their HP won't recover even when not currently engaged in battle.
If you successfully defeat the monster, you'll be given a chance to obtain a "new reward" as part of your activities in Limbus the following week.
The more notorious monsters you defeat, the greater your chances of obtaining the reward.

I don't see this being fun, at all. Sounds like the delayed chance at "new reward" just breeds FOMO because you won't know how many NMs you need to kill to get it, so you better not skip them!

I think people will quickly determine the minimum required to guarantee loot, then ignore them for the rest of the week. Stellar design.

If there's "a chance" there is never a minimum. You'll go every day. And you'll ask for more.

It sounds like a "your contribution to Limbus NM fighting the past week was X amount... you obtain Y!"

Likely you'll just get all the rewards eventually, just not all at once all on the first week.

More curious to see what kind of things they're adding to Besieged rewards, been doing them semi-regularly.

I'm picturing conditional drops like ***drite from Sortie. Kill 5 NMs during the first week of sep, you get a 0.5% chance of a drop each kill(or more likely, box) during the second week. Kill 10 NMs, you get a 1.0% chance, etc. No NMs, can't drop. Could be used as an exchange item for accessories or upgrade item for +5s.

Guarantee multiple-week participation because you won't want to waste your farmed rate boost.

IDK they've been doing things abnormally lately but to actually implement a progressive system seems far fetched. They've never done it before.

Progressive systems fall off, you hit the peak (or 100%) and you stop. They want you to do it forever (2 years, give or take)

...... if they do some sort of increased rate, it will be based on kills per server, hence the push to balance servers instead of tilting it to asura in 1 week. Which is really stupid, which means thats what they're planning.

Seems pretty clear it's some sort of increased rate:
The more notorious monsters you defeat, the greater your chances of obtaining the reward
Regardless of the distribution method, pretty hard to interpret that as anything but farming an increase to your percent chance of desirable outcome.

If you successfully defeat the monster, you'll be given a chance to obtain a "new reward" as part of your activities in Limbus the following week.
I'd be inclined to think that means you the player, but a whole lot more vague there. Could definitely still be server progress.

Oh, definitely agreed there. Week 1 boosts your week 2 results, but week3 would be based on only week2. If it stacks indefinitely, there's no fomo.

So just stop *** with us and make the EP reasonable in the zones to make it worth hanging around in them. Add ilvl135 140 145 with say 400 EP per mob at 145

The EP is reasonable, unless you expect it to be better than locus camps for some reason?

If you answer it should be the same or better than locus camps, I'll explain why it cant work that way: If its similar or better than locus camps, no one will go to locus camps, they'll just sit in limbus and double dip EP and units.

Not even a matter of double dipping, it's a matter of there being insufficient camps for the amount of players on baha/asura and suboptimal for other servers.

Maybe Limbus isn't the best place for it, but everyone would love instanced or at least heavily scalable EP camps.

I'm a bit curious what SE's intention with the NMs is. Is it just if the monster happens to be up when you do a limbus run then you fight it? Or do they want people just camping them in Limbus full time like the world nms of old? Or will they alert players outside limbus that they are up to come challenge them?

It's like DI, so the NMs will just re-spawn on a likely short timer, something like 10-30min I would guess.

The intention is likely you do your run, if an NM is up while you're running through, fight it together with whomever else is there.

But what about small servers where Limbus is empty most of the time, I hear you say. Well you get to solo the NM don't you.

It's clear to me that SE expects players to live inside Limbus the same way they lived inside Domain invasion for weeks until they got every single item they needed. They've apparently made this one even more annoying than DI though, sounds more like Peach Power drop rates. Most people find Limbus incredibly boring, but my guess is players will communicate with each other when there's an NM roaming around, or they'll have the Detector tell you if he's up, similar to the Escha NPCs. I doubt there'll be an announcement like Besieged or Domain Invasion via unity, they probably assume everyone is always going to be doing Limbus several times a week anyways, that you'll just run into the NMs completely on accident or word will get around Because you can't do it.

"We have taken great care when deciding upon the minimum number of players allowed within Dynamis – Divergence, due to the impact that would arise from such major changes to the content. However, we are finally at the point where we feel we have an idea about what shape these possible changes could take.

Although we are not ready to give an update on our progress, we feel it's better to give you small updates like this, even at irregular intervals, so that you can prepare for the upcoming changes rather than being surprised by them if they are implemented without notice.

Therefore, we will be holding a campaign from September that makes it easier for you to challenge the boss monsters found in Dynamis - Buburimu, Dynamis - Valkurm, and Dynamis - Qufim. (We also plan to make it easier to obtain items that weaken the Dynamis - Buburimu boss as part of September's Dynamis Granules of Time Campaign.)"

So to prepare us for whatever changes they are making to Dyna D entry requirements, they are running a campaign that makes it easier to kill the OG dreamlands bosses? Not even the arch versions?

To get into Dyna [D], you need to clear the Dreamland dynamis bosses. Apparently people found this difficult, so they're making them easier.

Arch versions aren't required for Dyna [D] access.

Ah, thank you. It was so long ago that I completely didn't notice that requirement. That makes perfect sense.

That *** in Qufim was still able to destroy a 119 if you didn't get the weakeners (or he was unable to be killed I forget)

If you're doing those mobs youre solo and probably don't have 45 days in and at best have ambu+2

They gotta start somewhere. Getting access to it isn't the same as being ready for it.

The requirements are ridiculously high. Though you're being sarcastic, they should infact get rid of them.

Every stumbling block, every hurdle, every 30 year old mission. They're just nuisances. they're not going to get help for it, its just more chores they have to look up and grind instead of just being allowed to play.
