Considering they have been doing ambuscade rotations for the most part of the year, its not surprising someone saying: “hey, this is not being used, lets shut it down.”.

Maybe the effort to bring it up and create tests for it was already too much for the budget so here we are: test in production and hope for the best

And just like that, a relatively ignored items for the better part of a decade goes straight to the front page "Most Viewed Items" based solely off my word and fear of price gouging. The 3 that were in stock were bought immediately (two by same person) after I mentioned it in this thread. That NEVER happens, maybe 1 every 2-3 days (though 16 sold in December which is unusually high, maybe people started early). Asura is not a real place. Admittedly, I watch the price of this item and it has never seen any real activity over the past 5 years, so I can confidently speak to what I feel is about to be a price gouge soon.

Yall better farm your sashes now before it hits 10-15M for that Limbus-less period and then they turn into 100k when it's re-opened and everyone realizes how much this item sucks

FWIW Sortiarius Earring drops from that same Limbus, but it literally sucks as an earring (it's basically 99 Moldavite, but buyable and inferior to Friomisi). Almost never sells either. Not sure why people are buying it for the going price, but you can't explain stupid either.

Guys, flood that market too so people think it's worth the asking price cuz that's gonna tank soon too.

Calling it now that ABC stuff and AF upgrade mats will get shoved into the list of Ambu rewards. Lowest hanging fruit.

Edit: or maybe expand the "in the name of science" quest and have you farm sea organs/tissues instead?

The most sense is they just make the mobs in sea drop abc temporarily (can't make them available to people without sea!)

AF upgrades... honestly, they may just give them to you with an ask from sagheera. It would be obnoxious as hell if every sea mob started dropping 40 pieces of limbus trash.

I wonder if those Chips (Metal Chip, Magenta Chip etc) will be completely phased out from the game. They would have to also change the corresponding Records of Eminence Quests that have you obtain them. They don't say anything about the ROE, maybe they don't realize there is one? They are clearly not re-purposing them because they specifically say


Roe > Objective's List > Content > Content (Limbus)
You guys have a month to get these done before they turn into something else (easier or more annoying to complete)

SE said that they will give us another way of getting items from Limbus if anyone needs it, so anyone stockpiling this stuff are wasting their time.

There's only three pieces of equipment of any worth from Limbus and its updated Neo form. Brutal/Loquacious earrings, and Enif Cosciales as a Fast Cast piece for some jobs. Not difficult to get these at all. Zero need to pay through the nose for them now. Either get them by normal means, or wait for SE to introduce the changes.

A lot of people read these threads and never comment but are highly influenced by FOMO. I could be totally making this whole entire thing up for my own personal benefit (im not, just curious how SE flips these items after the update), but people don't ever want to risk missing out on a potential gil come-up. So those with the sash sitting in their mog house collecting dust see an easy way to jack the price up to 5m>5.5>6>10, and the people who don't have the sash are afraid it's gonna hit 10m and they *might* need it later.

It was gonna happen sooner or later if I didn't call attention to it, just giving you guys the heads up a month prior so you don't get got.

edit: actually now that i think about it more, I have no idea how SE re-releases these items. They will be Gobbie-box only for the few months Limbus is down, but after then? Maybe they just make it buyable from the same NPC they might implement for ABCs. Has the potential to be completely worthless or super rare after that. I can't see them adding an upper-tier CS Apollyon II and putting these BACK in there as a drop. So I am genuinely curious where these land after the update in a few months.

They probably have to rebuild the zone entirely. Apollyon and Tenemos zones are one big zone with one big map and the teleports just pos you around. Its not instanced, as in a private instance with a private treasure pool.

Theyll probably just rebuild the 75 and 99 instances to modern standards and no one will be locked out of zones. Atleast thats what I would do if I were rebuilding the event.

But I would also not be doing development right in master.

They could, are there any Sellable items in that menu though? They could make some random NM in Sea drop it with the same rate as the Apollyon, like Ix'MNK or whatever. That would be more far more annoying than the 1-hour repeatable instance you can do now though.

I would delete the lv.75 version of CS Apollyon & Central Temenos Basement. They serve no purpose.
And I would add a way to either continue or exit the instance of limbus. Get a whole Ultima/Omega popset and kill it in a single entry.
If not that then let us buy lv.75 segments from the goblin in addition to the lv.99 segments we already have access to.

Farm a popset from free spawning i140 mobs in al'taieu under the crags that also drop ABCs. Bring back a little open world action, shouldn't be too congested after the initial rush since the gear and items are quite dated.

Someone log a mule out in the zone before the update. See what happens when you log in.

My money is on "corrupted character data"...

My guess is that the character will be kicked out to the HP


Better yet, make someone superwarp to the closed zone, and POS around to find the dev characters supposelly playing the content.

Imagine you log in and see two GMs named Dave and Chris boiling pasta trying to get the code to I119.

Could do buyable from the same ABC NPC (maybe for gil, maybe for a new currency). Could also stick them on other Sea content, like let you trade organs to an NPC the same way we get elemental gorgets/obis or jailer items now.
