Some of the stats on those are very interesting an unique. Ready -1 second, sword with INT/high MATT, INT WS modifier, No defense loss Berserk etc.
What makes this better is that it seems its every time it is used. For instance on the great katana: Skillchain: Sekkanoki time reduced by 1 second. It sounds like making multiple skillchains between recasts of Sekkanoki should continuously reduce the timer, and its not limited to one time reduction per recast. (?) Also for BST, every skillchain should reduce the timer by 1 second (?).
Of course we will not know for sure until we get the weapons.

Honestly not bad, but if the only way to get these weapons is rank 2 or better in the nomad bonanza there's really no point. This is the type of reward they could attach to actual content and people would flock to do it. Pretty lame of em.
On that note, when IS the nomad bonanza marble sales period. I missed the announcement somewhere.

Aren't they doing something with *one* marble and an increased cost and an increased reward chance? Maybe everyone will have pretty good odds to get one?

I read the Bow and Souleater weapon that way but I guess you are correct. This would make for some fairly neat applications. DRK can use SE with no fear no, basically. BST (should) get near-instant Ready re-use timers, assuming they don't put a universal cap on this stuff. And it's not limited to mainhand only, which makes them the perfect (1h) offhand options that don't clash with your ability to use your REMAs.
Looks like they might be giving out freebie early release to these weapons and then attach them via some buyable option in a later content or reward release. I see no reason why they would lock this behind a bonanza.

Honestly i feel less bothered with those weapon on bonanza than kupo shields.
Even if those weapons were easy to get, just two or three would be worth the effort (maybe the staff and sword as idle piece and all jobs 119 sword?).

I dont precisely remember the new system but at that time i was under impression we would hit the jackpot "faster" than old bonnanza.

Instead of us buying 10 marbles and them picking one winning number they're letting us buy one marble and picking ten winning numbers instead, or something to that extent. The marble costs more because it's worth more chances.

Last time I won something in a Bonanza was 5 years ago, and it was a rank4 lulz.
Oh well, I guess I've been luckiy with other FFXI aspects.

I don't think they're meme worthy, at least not all of them. Several look like they're really strong. That dagger for example is the best offhand to pair with Twashter mainhand if the effect really does work like ukku's grip. Adding a 10% agility modifier to rudra's storm is around 10-12% increase in damage, and that's saying something. That's better than any other offhand we currently have available to us, and by a significant margin since it's delay is so low and DPS rating so high. It's the type of reward that would genuinely have me interested in grinding an event for month's if I had to, and it would feel very rewarding after finally getting it. The bard instrument has a super potent effect too.
But locking them behind a lottery event is a really *** move on s-e's part. The kupo shield enables people to break crafting tiers and make gil a lot easier, but gil is something we can earn other ways and monetary wealth has no direct impact on combat performance. This is the first actual weapon they've ever created that could possibly be best in slot for some jobs in which we have literally no way of obtaining other than winning it.

Square has expensive shipping and they kinda take ages. Amiami looks to be cheaper but their regular shipping isnt going to US.
Also saw this custom on someones insta and thought it looked neat,
I hope they make more FFXI figures, this was surprising. Im guessing they sold the chocobo separately as an option for people who have no idea who Shantotto is.

Honestly I'd be fine with that. Even if they made those weapons the oddysey rewards and required us to get max mog mastery in every zone. At least it would give us something to grind for.
