Always in need of a new goal in this game, I now decided to hunt the rarest NM's in Vanadiel. By rare I mean those who doesn't pop really often or have bad spawn conditions. Here is my hunt list so far, I'd like to know what I forgot!

Noble Mold
Taisaijin
Voluptuous Vilma( yea i know ><)
Defoliate Leshy ( lol ><)
Almighty Apkallu
Stubborn Dredvodd
Zoredonite

Any other suggestion is appreciated! ^^

Oh then you can always add Morbolger XD. If you feel like competing over a Brownbelt NM.

And you can always try for Argus and Bloodbead. ~

The four shadows in Fei'Yin.

Lot's of stuff out there now that I think about it.

Cyclopean Conch, Harajnite. Both on the Manaclipper.

Another couple you could tag on while you're looking for Zoredonite.

There are 3 NMs in Phomiuna Aqueducts, and while most of them are up most of the time, getting there with a group to kill them and pulling them off is the challenge.

Also the Corse NM in the maze in Sacrarium.

One I can think of offhand that is rarer and obscure is the Doomed NM that pops on the Channel raft ride from Carpenters landing (and the Dragoon one, also). It drops some NIN pants that are worth cash, but just seeing the NM would be cool enough.

I've had the same goal and so far it looks like this:

1/2 Noble Mold, Rain Hat
1/20 Rose Garden, Vilma's Ring
1/4 Stubborn Dredvodd, Carect Ring
1/1 Argus, Peacock Amulet
0/1 Taisaijin, Spelunker's Hat
1/3 Nussknacker, Sand Gloves

Will soon try Zoredonite

You can also check:

Ravin Raven, Nussknacker (Rather annoying spawn-pattern and low droprate), Diamond Daig, La Velue, Proteus (better not going alone XD)

GL and happy hunting ^^/

This was a really fun quest. Its only a small gil reward, but the gil you make along the way with farming for the lotto pops, and drops the NMs, adds up to around 150k+ kinda nice for doing something fun. Only wish it gave you a cool title =/

What's going on with the Spelunker's Hat? Is there some hidden effect or a purpose to having it? Or is it just some kind of lulzl33t headgear? Also, I know the name means a cave explorer, but it sounds like a porn term. Just in case you wanted to know. mf3r5

To skillup parrying is the useful reason.

Because it's rare and the title(for killing the NM) is cool is another reason for some.

So, that strategy for going in nekkid actually works? Like Maat mimics what the toon goes in with? And you are saying, if you wear the Spunker's hat, he will mirror that in his abilities? What a great tactic.

That theory was debunked years ago.

Spelunker's hat was a joke. You'll find the story on Wiki if you're interested but it's just a joke item that you're not really supposed to use.

Elel and Shii.

Shii took me a week of straight camping, including cutting school for until it popped. This was back when nobody knew why it would pop. That being said, it's a tough solo for most 75 jobs. I went on WAR and had to zerg it with meds, and barely won. xD I'm pretty sure I'm like the only person on the server who had Shii's GK.

That NM scared the crap out of me when I was doing CoP. Rounded a corner and there's a huge Corse NM blocking the path c.c

Everytime I've been to Bostaunieux, this NM was up within the first two placeholder respawns.
