Where in any of my statements did I say all liberals?

I shown you evidence where liberals are saying that "half" or, in the case of Slate, all Trump supporters are deplorables. I also stated that these are the mouthpieces of the liberal mindset. I also stated that there are people who are acting based by what the liberal mouthpieces stated (hence the protests over a person who isn't even in power and they are protesting against).

I'm using evidence and you are using nothing but your own assertions. You claimed that I was being hypocritical, but you didn't point out the hypocrisy in any of my statements.

I also did not use double standards because, again, I'm using the liberal mouthpieces' own words.

You're really just oblivious. You keep saying you're not generalizing all liberals, but it's okay to generalize all liberals because these prominent liberals said this.

Even though you make fun of, mock, insult, and bemoan some people stating that everyone on the right is racist/etc. even though there are clear examples of racism and the like in the alt-right movement.

Okay, well, at least I know what we're working with now.

Nice strawman.

I just wanted to point out that Raymerez's argument was still on topic to what he was discussing and what you were replying to. By you claiming that his argument was a strawman then you are admitting that your argument was a red herring.
You...do know what a strawman argument is, right?

Do you know what strawman argument is?

Simple wiki definition:

Quote:
A straw man is a common form of argument and is an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while actually refuting an argument that was not advanced by that opponent

Initial statement by you:

Quote:
Liberal answer: Deplorable

Analysis - Bulks all liberals into the same category of people who would call him Deplorable.

His reply:

Quote:
You do understand the extensive hypocrisy implicit within statements like this, right?

I mean, it's one thing if you're okay with it and just don't care. I just want to be clear that you understand it.

Analysis - Statement calling out the hypocrisy of the statement

For reference "deplorable":

Quote:
deserving strong condemnation

To explain further: Your statement was condemning all Liberals for calling all Conservatives deplorable.

Next up your reply:

Quote:
You do realize that the only qualifications Clinton made when calling half (or if you use fuzzy math, 8%) of the nation as deplorable is "anyone not with Clinton," and add the fact that there are protests going on in liberal-heavy cities and colleges protesting the election results and calling Trump voters "deplorable" who's only qualification is what is defined above, that answer is really not hypocritical at all. It's already been stated multiple times, both by a presidential candidate, the media, and various protesters in cities protesting results.

Analysis - What does this have to do with the last argument presented. How does this even address to hypocrisy of your statement or try to refute it? This is effectively a Red Herring.

Which if you need the definition:

Quote:
A red herring is something that misleads or distracts from a relevant or important issue

Now for his argument that you called a strawman:

Quote:
So..."No."

The answer you were looking for is "no."

You cannot sit and go "all liberals think anyone who disagrees with them is deplorable" without falling victim to the same exact faulty mindset they are employing.

Because you are in turn distilling an entire broad spectrum of people with varying beliefs and opinions into one specific thought process. Which is exactly the behavior you're suggesting is wrong.

He is actually trying to stay on topic and completely ignores your red herring. Even if the argument had anything to do with the jumbled up statement you made before his logical fallacy would have been "missing the point", either way - not a strawman.

Come on... any thinking person knows that the alt-right is comprised of many more factions than just white racists.

There are homophobes, neo natzis, white nationalists, mysigonists, and anti semites to name just a few factions.

But individual members of the alt right happen to be any faith, gender, or color you can imagine. For instance, one of the most respected loudmouths in the alt-right is a screaming British gay.
None of those qualifications of "deplorables" are a Republican-only trait.

There are just as many homophobes, neo-nazis, white (or people of color) nationalists, mysigonists, and anti-semites (hey, didn't the DNC just elect one of the most outspoken anti-semite to head the DNC chair?) on both sides of the aisles.

Or are you going to lambaste a problem against your "enemies" and ignore the problems within?
I was talking about the alt-right. I did not deny that these same types exist elsewhere. I was stating that the alt-right is both broad and inclusive.

I'm not generalizing all liberals, I'm stating what the liberal message is!

Just like you cannot generalize all conservatives because a very few people call themselves "alt-right" are supporting neo-nazi rhetoric.

Or is that what you really intend on doing?

There are racism, but it's not on one side of the coin. Racism exists everywhere, and are just as prevalent in Harlem as it is in Martha's Vineyard.

Racism is not a predominantly "white" thing. Sexism is not a predominantly "male" thing. Xenophobic tendencies is not a "redneck" thing.

Instead of placing blame on a political group for something that they really cannot control, how about attacking the problem at it's source? And no, the source is not the GOP.

You're ascribing a thought (mindset, opinion, belief, whatever) to all liberals.

You're wrong to do so, just like those who do share those beliefs that all people on the right are evil vile bigoted racist homophobes/etc.

"Liberal" does not equate to "Being in lockstep with the DNC."

Just as "being a Republican" does not mean, in any way, being in lockstep with the closed-minded portion of the alt-right. Even being alt-right doesn't necessarily mean being in lockstep with that portion of the alt-right.

But you're doing exactly what you're lamenting: stating one specific message applies and is believed by everyone who leans one direction or another. In this case left.

Liberals don't have to agree with the democratic platform, they are just more likely too. Same goes with conservatives.

Which is really what appeals about Donald Trump, isn't it?

Bringing back that postwar feeling of patriotism and achievement before hippies and the like *** it all up!

And neither platform inherently calls for any sort of divisiveness, despite what some on opposing sides would have you believe.

I'm using the liberals own words. How they want to represent their group is their problem, not mine.

And yet, you are deflecting it as an attack on my argument for stating what the liberals stated themselves.

Why won't you get that? I'm not assuming that they said it. They actually said it.

Strange, I didn't say "democrats" at all, did I? All I said was "liberals," or what you can now consider is the new "Alt-Left."

Who the *** is "they?"

Are "liberals" a narrowly defined group now with one mouthpiece speaking for everyone?

By this same argument you could say that Conservatives think all Liberals are communists but that isn't true is it?

Your joke aside, those are two people who are in no way in agreement on all topics and is actually very indicative of the point I'm trying to make here!

No because the current narrative is that liberals are the paradoxical amalgam of Communist Fascist Socialists.
