Hopefully Trump stays healthy, because just thinking about Pence as POTUS is scary.
Nobody better try to assassinate him then.

I can see that going well.

Standing at the funeral, Mike Pence says "Wow, I didn't realize so many people cared for Donald so much. The tears shed for him are moving."

Advisor: "Sir, they aren't crying for Mister Trump."

Most of the population doesn't know anything about Pence. I saw some LGBT people and liberals circle jerking over the fact that they want Trump to "hopefully" die and for Pence to step in.

That's so idiotic (and borderline unbelievable) that I'm not sure whether to accuse you of fabricating an anecdote or to say "no *** wonder this country elected an orange reality television clusterfuck excuse for a human being."

Because there's no middle ground there. None. The LGBT community as a whole tends to be rather well informed about politicians who would like to see homosexuals euthanized if they could get away with it. At least the ones I know. And that's many.

Truth of the matter is, I'm with Nik. Hillary was too shitty to get lazy liberal voters out of their houses and into voting booths. The Republicans will always triumph in those conditions, which is why it wasn't just Donald Hairpiece getting elected.

Well, the thing is, that can backfire too.

People that inspire can also divide and you have to calculate that or you end up with someone like Trump.

Who I'm sure is a win for someone out there. But not for many. And not even for everyone who thinks he was their win.

I don't think having two candidates that actually inspire people to vote would necessarily be a bad thing.

Mike Rowe did a good piece on this.

I don't think inspiring people to vote is a good strategy.

I think inspiring people to get educated about voting is a better one.

Not really a fan of encouraging people who don't understand policies, candidates, or their positions to go out and vote because of name recognition and because that's who your friend is voting for and, oh man, you don't want him to give you ***for not being on board with him do you?

Is it?

Should we ask the two (three?) people here who are actually old enough to remember?

At least Reagan had some prior political experience outside of buying them like our current president-elect.

You are right! He has to hire his own stooges instead of bribing those who fully support him anyway for a "promise" in a position in power later. Like Clinton.

Well, that is how it will always be because we lack the education in the political departments, the media spins everything and not enough people care in general.

I get the idea behind what you are saying, but even educated people are easily manipulated. I'd rather see every voted on issues that matter to them.

That would take too long.

Do you even know how many departments, cabinet positions, and ambassadorships there are? Heck, even the federal government doesn't know how many agencies they have, much less positions of power there is to appoint.

Each candidate puts their policies and ideas in a sealed envelope and the media reveal their contents to the public without telling who is behind them(just A, B, etc).

And now vote!

And it's only going to get worse with Trump's mandate. Take all the money away from public schools and keep the poor people stupid! I mean, it's not the worst idea I guess, from a ruling class perspective.

Well, that is how it will always

Alternatively, mandatory chipping of everyone and mandatory voting.

That has ever been the ideal and has never been the case, and never will be unless you want to see the government forcefully break up media conglomerates.

I suspect that's not a precedent you want to see set.

Well, if you think about it, they are all ***.

Taco Bell has it's uses, mainly for digestion cleaning.

That argument is getting pretty old. But then again, I don't see any ideas coming from Trump in regards to education....

Oooh now that would be fun. You don't even get to know who they are.

I like it!

"OH *** I VOTED FOR DAVID DUKE." -- militant fat black trans feminist

"OH *** I VOTED FOR HILLARY CLINTON." -- Donald Trump, probably.
