Chocobo Digging September 2016 Update

Chocobo digging may now be enjoyed in the following areas.

Yahse Hunting Grounds / Ceizak Battlegrounds / Foret de Hennetiel / Yorcia Weald / Morimar Basalt Fields / Marjami Ravine / Kamihr Drifts

* Digging in these areas will reward players with bayld in lieu of beastmen currency.

Just started digging in Morimar Basalt Fields and something interesting you can dig up is Grand Velkk Coffer.

Yea, found some in other areas (I think). Since this time I planned it out to dig before midnight, I'll be digging twice today. Ill post results later.

I did some digging in Yorcia Weald and finally got 100% proof that an item and be in both the normal items and burrow items:


I also found that HP-Bayld is (at least) a burrow item:

Have you manage to find items that are "rare"? (as in: 100% sure that they're neither burrow or bore, but more like HMP?).

Haven't amanged so far, that I noticed. Also didn't get a single gem so far (not that I want them, just find it peculiar), and no HMP either (so far?).

Is there any consensus on what stats/abilities are ideal for a digging chocobo nowadays?

I've had great success with a maxed stat Bore/Burrow Discernment/Receptivity bird. Some people say that Burrow clogs your inventory with unnecessary items, but it works well for me.

How would you go about raising a bird with max rcp/end?

End and RCP are tough to synchronize. Carrying Packages alternating with Acting in a Play are your best bets, but you'll probably spent quite a bit on chocobobucks in any case.
