Also Smite is probably (if it's really just more attack) just a concession to those jobs when they're soloing or in terrible parties with little or no support. I doubt it was intended to change anything at higher levels of play, which is fine.

New skadi is cool. see some pretty nice buffs for dimidation (body; Emet+1 is just an enmity piece if needed, now >_>) legs are great hybrid for run as well. Feet have 51 agi 40 racc, lol. Overall, I see some very good shooting stats for the rangers and corsairs. Low haste set though, so melee will have to pick and choose. Not the garbage I imagined it'd be. Right on pace with sule+1.
Not impressed with the belt. 2h were already using Gracile, so the haste was negligible. The acc looks great and all, but kentarch+1 has stp/acc/da. Unless the stp from kent+1 isn't needed for your build (and you need the extra haste), can't see this belt being a priority. Then again you could drop Gracile and mix and match so idk.

Varar Ring +1 means I don't just use evoker's ring by default now if it's not ifrit... o.O It's still an amazing ring for a lot of sets but is crazy an over 9 year staple of SMN being swapped for any set, not that I'm complaining just a bit sentimental.

It's hard to say. 9% DA is a shitton, and it has more accuracy than Ken +1. The haste just means we don't have to use Gracile and can pop Bloodreign back on. You basically gain 4 DA for the cost of 1 acc I think. Can't remember the exact values off the top of my head.

Smite makes no sense to me. The implementation doesn't seem balanced or correct for what it's supposed to do. Why does DRK get 5 traits of Smite vs other 2 handers (giving the job that already has more attack bonus traits more attack is the opposite of balancing.)
Also I don't understand why people still care about Refresh gear. With constant HP/MP resets, temp items, Myrkr, etc. in any situation where you'd give a ***about MP, it seems nearly useless. This isn't 2004.

You do realize that drk was one of the hardest hitting jobs before the new trait right? That and easily hit the -50% pdt/mdt, had plenty of acc options, and has monster utility with Apoc, stun, dread spikes and drain 3.
Also I don't understand why people still care about Refresh gear. With constant HP/MP resets, temp items, Myrkr, etc. in any situation where you'd give a ***about MP, it seems nearly useless. This isn't 2004. I mentioned that in the SE forum as a reason to one of the nails on the coffin for rdm.

Dragoons can get away with not using Gracile Grip as it stands. 20% JA Haste from Hasso and the Wyvern with 40-43% Magic Haste means it only needs 17-20% from gear to cap. Same goes for Dark Knight when Last Resort is up.
I'd use the new belt over Kentarch+1 if I had Samurai Roll.

Adhemar feet +1 has 15 STR/54 AGI/20 racc/54 rattk/true shot +2(+4% dmg), would say it still wins with higher AGI/rattk/true shot.
Ambuscade feet is much cheaper to obtain though.

Seem like the will be BiS for every spell, not only for red mage but think geomancy +8 and handbell +8 thats +16 on 1 +32 if you have both since they are not rare. Prices are going to be ridiculous.
