UEFA EURO 2016

Iceland just scored. We got them now instead of Portugal.

I would have preferred to have played Portugal because the Iceland game is just going to be a copy of the last 3 games. Sit back and defend for 90 minutes.

Ok i'm SUPER confused now, can someone summarize what are the two branches of the tree that we know of?

The picture above is missing Portugal.
They play Croatia.
And Slovakia, they play Germany.

Crotia is going tear Portugal apart with that kind of defense.

Edit: Also the setup is strongly in favor of Crotia. I am not really expecting any surprise unless we pull out a Euro 2008.

Yay England vs Iceland. Obviously England vs Portugal would have been exciting but it reminds me of the time when Ronaldo got Rooney sent off and we ended up losing that game. I've been cheering for Iceland as my 2nd team in this tournament, so I was ecstatic when I heard they beat Austria in the last minute. It's going to be a long game, but if it does end up going to injury time we have the attacking options to beat their defense.

As for Portugal, they will have it rough against Croatia as they are on a high after beating the World Champs. It's looking more like Croatia and perhaps Poland can make it far in this tournament as Spain, Germany, Italy, France and England are on the other side of the bracket. I'm predicting whoever survives the packed side is going to win the whole thing. And the problem is all sides have weaknesses and no team is looking overly dominant. Italy, France and Germany have had the quality so far, and only Italy could come out of the group stages winning all their games. It's an open tournament as far as I can see.

Italy has no quality. Not if you mean individual at least.

Exactly what I meant. Even though Italy look set to win their group with three wins, there's still question marks. In previous tournaments there were always one or two teams deemed as favourites, whereas this time there ain't any, and I love that.

It's unrealistic but I want Sweden to win, so that Belgium ends up playing against France.

So multiple journalists defined the field Italy and Eire are playing on as "a potato field".

So this is the irish tactic to get the upperhand!

Well I got 0 points from those games but I'm glad Ireland got through.

Edit: I don't fancy their chances against France, but what do I know.
