I don't think I've ever seen two people's hands repel each other like that.

They were merely exchanging long protein strings. If you can think of a simpler way, I'd like to hear it.

Now, tell me I am not the only one impressed with the fact the police show up to protests on their bicycles.
I mean, how environmentally friendly and secure in ones masculinity is that?
I'm more impressed it looks like more than half of them are actually in shape.

At the very least, 60% of restaurant projects crash and burn within the first year.

But it's just the horrible food and safety regulations keeping them down. Most likely, bad business decisions.
I mean, most startups don't know what the hell they are doing, business-wise.

Oddly enough, most restaurants that fail don't do so because of food and safety regulations. They fail due to the lack of self-sustainability.
It's almost as if upstart projects don't exist in a vacuum and have to try to pull guests away from long standing and (usually) well reputed restaurants. AND as it turns out, when you don't have a good flow of cash, you can't really afford risky moves like massive discounts to draw in people from other restaurants.
Another reason is location, but what are you going to do? Evict one of the already running restaurants in that prime location? Let me know how the hell that's supposed to work.

Restaurant industry is rough, got a friend who has made a mint off commercial kitchen supplies.
In city like Los Angeles you're lucky to last a year or two. That's if you're lucky enough to be trendy for a few months. Established spots that have been around 20yrs+ are miracles.

Probably should have gone with 'safe' instead of edible.
I mean, Taco Bell is still going strong.

Not particularly well. If you want to pretend poorly handled/stored/prepared food isn't really *** dangerous, be my guest.
I, personally, am going to sit here being very thankful there are massive penalties for trying to cut corners during food preparation, storage and handling.

No one is saying unsafe food isn't unsafe, just that restaurants wouldn't survive if they only served bad food.
Look at chipotle.

You are making it sound like people were dying in the streets due to poorly made food from restaurants.
I didn't know the Black Plague was created by Taco Bell.

You mean the same Chipotle that is still up and running, despite two e.coli outbreaks and a salmonella outbreak?

You mean the same Chipotle that is still up and running, despite two e.coli outbreaks and a salmonella outbreak? Yeah they served an unsafe batch of food and they too a huge hit to their sales.
Just imagine if they did it again.
