Well generally you shouldn't have to, unless you're having file system corruption (or a bad update, etc).

If you're having file system corruption, you may be having a hard drive go on you.

Enternity addon has previously caused my game to crash when I zone into an area/speak to a NPC that gives a cutscene.

disable your firewall when zoning into this one zone. (You could be blocked from connecting to some random port on SE's side which potentially occurs for the duration of a cutscene).

Interesting, I haven't had that problem.

It's been a blast for my second and third characters to run through TOAU, WOTG, 2/3 of RoV, etc. Odd.

It's only happened like twice ever, so I wouldn't call it an issue.

people used to get similar issues when sound files would become corrupted. zone music starts to play, glitches, and causes a crash.

Take it from me, reinstalling will not work.

My brother and I had this issue and the zones were random and it changed often... Try connecting from another internet source, such as your Cell Phone hot-spot if you can, that worked for us temporarily.

We never found a solution, error just fixed itself.

It is possible it's the issue Karbuncle mentioned, but I've also had certain zones that would crash me 100% of the time, and reinstalling was the only thing that would fix it (and trust me, I tried EVERYTHING else first, because I did NOT want to reinstall...). For a good long time, Abyssea-Uleguerand would do it to me, as well as a certain section of Rabao. I thought no way would reinstalling fix it, since I'd tried replacing the zone dat, check files, all kinds of stuff that in theory, seemed like it should fix it. Nope. Then finally reinstalled, and those areas worked fine again. Weirdest/most annoying thing.

I have 2 characters stuck zoning from East Audolin (sp?) to Nashmau. Tried all of the above before placing a GM call on a mule. GM sent me an automated response to call tech support...

Glad I'm off today. Expecting a 4 hours phone call...

To make things worse, I was 2 Einherjars away from my mythic. FML ><

That proves its your router, firewall, modem, or ISP at least.

We also fiddled with Friewalls and Routers, my brother did anyway, hes much better with computers than I. in fact we replaced the router entirely, it was old anyway... but that didn't work.

Its likely a Modem/ISP issue, which again, we never found a solution for, eventually the errors just stopped happening.

Hopefully you have more luck than we did.
