Awakening was my first fire emblem and I really enjoyed the hell out of it. I was pretty terrible at it though. If i didn't play casual the permadeath would have been unreal loool.
Birthright will have to do while I continue easing into the series.
The $20.00 info thing is good though, I wasn't aware. I kinda want the pretty box though X_X;
If this was a game series I mastered like Final Fantasy tactics I wouldn't be afraid to try hardcore, but I got side wrecked by so many mechanics I wasn't aware of in awakening.
Sadly I have almost all current smash bro Amiibo and had no idea who any of the Fire Emblem characters were until after I played awakening a month or so back. I know who Robin and Lucina are now lol.
I wish I would have known about this series sooner.
I ended up ordering both games....
Makes me wonder if you have to play both to get the Revelations to appear as the ending you know? Just making me think!

Well, from what I read, you need to beat both, then purchase the 3rd for $20, then replay through until you get the option to pick the 3rd one. But who knows if they changed it for our version seeing as they censored a bunch of stuff and removed the head patting :/
A note on the 20$ digital code if you buy both, you need the physical copy of one in the system to play the digital one, Ie if you have Physical Birthright and digital Conquest you will need the Birthright inserted in order to play the other, this DOES NOT effect versions normally purchased through the Eshop only the deals through places like GameStop, Best Buy , Amazon ECT. Reason I sprang for both physical versions
I've done a bit of reading and narrowed it down to two reasons I bought Birthright over Conquest. Honestly, a big part was because the character I want to pair my character to is in Birthright. There are other acceptable partners but then there was my other reason. The Avatar in Conquest seems to look the same as s/he does in Birthright until a class change. I like to kinda immerse myself in the story of a game and I'd find it odd that the Nohr raised me in my Hoshidoan garb rather than give me a darker Nohr garb so, I figured I might as well fit in.
last night, delivery said today.
this morning it said, delayed, expected sunday.
text message received said arriving today.
stop playing with me Amazon!
also, seems more people have gone with Birthright over Conquest.
(for those only getting one)
is there a perk bonus for getting both? (aside from story changes)
From what i've read, there are no perks to getting both other than getting to play both storylines which each have their unique job classes.
I've also heard that the game really doesn't present much moral ambiguity in the choice between Nohr and Hoshido. Nohr is set up more as the "bad guys" in a sense, while Hoshido is pretty much lacking any kind of "wrong-doing" that you could use as reasoning to choose Nohr over them. Kinda disappointed in this.
