No, just wanted to know why we can't block mods and refrain to PM defusing instead of public viewing ego grows.
Kojo on occasion does PM warn people (at least for me).
Because telling people to cool it, stay on topic, or to stop with the personal attacks without having to directly target someone, is such a power trip.

Lovely. You were given an answer why it isn't done, and no longer continues to be done. But in all seriousness, if you are really that offended by "reading the BS", that somehow, mysteriously and magically equates into a mod or admin going into a "power trip" for performing their duties, instead of the BS that is general politics and religion thread discussions, the internet, is not a safe place to be. Edit: So far, the count on things getting worse via public viewing, is 3-4 people, tops. one of which has been banned repeatedly for continued infractions. If it's a whole thread turning into a riot, it's public. If it's one or two people, PM. Like everything moderation related, it's a judgment call. Anyway, you can't block mods because public messages are a useful tool. If someone abuses that tool or privilege, that's a different discussion, but "tossing around a green bar in a thread" is the least of the concerns to be had with a mod gone rogue (which is why everything is logged quite heavily now!). Does that answer your question?
