Rune/blu

Im trying to find some info on this tank combo. Can someone tell me what blu spells to set or what to focus on with this.

Magic Attack Bonus,
Defense Bonus
Attack Bonus

Those are the first three job traits that are piss easy to get. For utility spells you got

Cocoon < +50% Defense buff
Jettaru < Hate Spell
Blank Gaze < Hate Spell
Refueling < 10% Haste, in case you lose the one from the healer or whatever.

Wild Carrot < Self heal if you wanna use that for hate

Some free spots to set some resist or killer traits but their aren't really important.

iirc sheep song is also a good enmity tool.

Chain Affinity:
Resolution -> Uppercut = skillchain -> Lunge (Fire) = Magic Burst.

This is something not recommended for tanking though, as you lose the Rune Enchanment and expose yourself to the risk of getting nuked. Blame SE for causing Lunge to consume Rune enchanments in the process.

If they didn't, it wouldn't be a Lunge!

Doesn't matter as you don't lose Valliance / Vallation which is what really protects you. Runes have a 5s recast so you can quickly put them back up.

Geist Wall, Soporofic, Sheepsong, Jettatura, Blank Gaze, Poison Breath for Hate spells.

Cocoon = Must

Refueling if someone isn't hasting you.

All else just nice to haves.

Well thank god these got bumped.


Anyways...Poison Breath provides normal hate for the damage it does. It was okay for BLU tanking at the 75 cap due to its potency being relatively better and consistent, cheap damage on most targets, but such is no longer the case.
