Server decisions!
Hey, so I'm currently on Phoenix and its been kind of whatever since a few friends quit recently. Trying to figure out fast while transfers are cheap this weekend a good alternative server with active link shells and pugs. I'm open to any server especially if it has some old friends on it.
Asura.
Reasons? Highly populated, split NA/JP pretty even... and that's about it. Oh, and people still do Abyssea Worm PT's! Bahamut... Because we do raptors instead of worms!

Asura and Odin are the most populated servers, I believe. I'd suggest either of them unless you have friends on another server.

Odin has a high Japanese population though

And that isn't a bad thing, as most of the Japanese players I've spoken with are good people. Autotranslate being what it is, sometimes concepts are screwy, but communication is rarely a serious problem.

I am currently on Asura... I am not enjoying my stay at all. Reddit Linkshell took over the whole server and there is no serious linkshells with ventrilo or ts3 or yeah... you know :(
Well there are plenty of shouts on Odin for various events like delve, AA, Skirmish and Vagary.

There is one eu ls on the server I know of. I don't recall the name of it but they run events from like 12pm est to 5pm est i think that's 1700 gmt or something like that. I see their shouts.

Got back the other day myself and see what you're talking about with everyone missing now. Heard a diff story about that 20-30% you talking about tho, seems they got banned not quit and was quite a bit of them. I'm sure there were players taking breaks too though like myself but the staggering number of people banned wasn't a shock for me when I got back though. Always knew it was a matter of time before they finally got what they deserved. Insert rage rant from banned player below ↓

Maybe because I've managed to band together a good number of people into a LS, but I kinda prefer playing on a smaller server. I would imagine certain popular content and stuff (ie: bat camp in Woh Gates, Escha, Reives) become much less available. It might be harder for people who are more reserved, but making your own LS, inviting similar minded people, and leading content is a surefire way to keep active, instead of relying on shouts or hoping to find a LS. My thing is keeping an eye peeled for returning players and stuff, since they're usually eager to make friends.

Nah...it was definitely a month or so ago..maybe 2 but not 3-4 months. I'm too lazy to look for that thread you made but I definitely remember it being a month or 2 ago so it wasn't that long ago. Just think it's funny since you made a thread about moving servers and this was nearly similar to that one so just randomly wanted to point that out lol. Well if you do move, mind as well move before midnight pst as that's when the reduced price for transfers end. asura dont need you gtfo.
