Managed to knock out Ultima Buster (Nightmare) with mastery just now. Interesting fight. Amused that ExDeaths spell absorption can take Ultimate Nightmare in the chin and laugh at it. Also managed to unlock Devotion with Vivi in the process which makes me smile and at the same time facepalm because I still haven't gotten Tidus' RM2. Oh well. lol.

I guess now it's just a matter of waiting for next set of Orb runs and FFX-2 high-tier.

I got Tidus' RM2 fairly easily, but 12 levels of orb dungeon spam later and I still haven't seen his RM3.

100 gem got me a Jecht Bandana. I wasnt too excited but I think he might be my best FFX dps now.

Riot Blade doesnt seems to have unique animation like others SSB...

Did one more 11 draw for current SSB was hoping for Locke's dagger but it seems RNG saw how happy I was with my first Medica it gave me two more Judicer's Staff...well got 150 mythril left for FFT good thing i got SS2 or the next phase of SSB phase would super tempt me.

Just reading about this ultimate seems pretty crazy, so much stuff to do.

Ultimate Dispel AND the inability to use a support (at least well) sounds horrible.

Also I'm not sure how much Blind I really need, honing Blind Shot takes some very valuable Lightning Orbs :(

Wow, I'm surprised how easy this Yuna event is so far. I have zero 10 Synergy and I steamrolled +, ++, and +++ 1/1. Gonna wait until I can level Lenna to 80 before attempting Ultimate though, I get the feeling my luck will run out there. XD

Breezed through the bonus battles. Currently waiting on stamina for Ultimate Attempts.

The difficulty is going to depend on how much you got going for you in the form of SB/SSBs and hones and what buffs you can bring to the fight or how strong your AoE is, if that's your thing.

Her Ultimate dispel shouldn't pose to much of a problem if you focus target her first.

As far as blind shot, I only brought 4 shots and only 1 of them missed. You want to make sure your first shot lands on Logos asap. As far as dispel/banishing I only needed 4, but if you're going aoe, maybe 6 uses may be needed depending on your party buffs.

Again your mileage may vary, I came into the fight with 2 SSBs so I didnt need much in mitigation outside of blind landing and just killing leblanc in a few turns and instagib-ing Logos in 2 rounds.

This fight is much like Gigas U, in the sense that as soon as one dies the fight becomes much easier and more manageable especially with blind/slow on them, although 10 times easier than gigas since a lot of the mitigation is getting blind to land on logos/Ormi and slow on leblanc/ormi.


An alternative could be going full magic if you have good mage/sages with powerful staves. Meteor/Ruinga/Maduin/Valefor/Bahamut would make this fight very easy, and you use Yuna's BSSB as your RW and let your strongest 2 mages pop them and spam her aoe command(attack iirc). With proper buffs you should be doing about 4800-9k per shot aoe. You should be able to chip about 3-4 turns per char, so roughly 30/40k -70k per character... worse case scenario 28800-38000 aoe if your mages are lacking gear/levels/SB/ssb buffs. If you dont have any good 5 star staves/faith/Devotion, probably not something to try.

If you pulled Over the Top, you're in a pretty fantastic position. Open with 100% AoE Poison and Blind.

So, looking through my characters see'ing how best to tackle this since the only synergy gear I have for this fight really is Celebration Dagger.

80Lenna: Curaga R5/Shellga R2/Flames of War/Princess's Favor/Dr. Mog

80Cloud: Tempo Flurry R5/Life Siphon R2/Fenrir Overdrive/Ace Striker

80Steiner: Draw Fire R5/Armor Strike R5/Sword Art Stock Break/Knight's Charge

and for the 5th I'm still decding on either:

65Lulu: Ruinga R3/Meteor R2/Devotion

or

65 Yuna: Maduin R3/Valefor R3/Blood of the Summoner


Pretty much the same setup I potentially used for Gigas and it worked out well.

Tonight we gonna have Dungeon Update #20, and 48 to exp both Auron, Devout and Monk.

Good advice, I was considering breaking down some 5* orbs to get Blind Shot up to 8 uses, but I'll try with the 6 I have. Considering my DPS relics are good, killing LB before ultimate dispel shouldn't be too much of a problem for me specifically, but we'll see.

Pretty much over kill with SB/BSSB fire power I feel even with only celebration dagger. I think youll be fine with either.

My setup was:

80 seph: R3 Life/R1 Flashingblade/Black Materia/DD
80 bartz: R3 Life/ R3Drain strike/Trueblade of Legend/Striker
65 Balthier: R4 Tempo flurry/ R2 blind shot/default/10%att
65 Pecil: R2 Taunt/R2 Banishing strike/default/protect when att
80 Yuna: R2 Shellga/R4 Curaja/default/cure+10%
RW: Flames of war

Only thing I can think of is that I probably could have used another hone of flashing or two due to having to use like 3 autos on the last guy.

is there any difference in stick rate among dark buster, blindga and blind shot?
