How would you even know if he bought gems to begin with?
I don't for sure, but who sits on that many from farming them legit. Not like it really matters bought or not. Just gave my 2 cents
Someone with a lot of self restraint. If I had any restraint I'd probably have around that much currently. Been saving for SSB fest/FFT since whenever Lennas hastega banner was. I couldn't help myself from pulling on Cloud BSSB, Lightning SSB, and a few pulls in other places. I'd have an additional 200 or so mythril if I hadn't impulse pulled there, ontop of my current 150 I'd be nearly where he is.
That's just how some people play. Some people pull on any banner with a cool SB or a character they like. Some people pull for efficiency. Pulling on Sentinels Grimoire or Scream would be more efficient then getting any possible relic I could have got in the last 400 mythril.

The gems didn't magically give them higher drops rates on the 5*s. And of course they probably haven't hoarded that much 'legititimately'. There's a nearly finite amount of Mythril available in the game.
Obviously lol, but more chances to get a great pull if you do it 20 times due to having 1000 mythril
you realize that you cannot buy Mythril, only Gems (which show in that orange box)? as it is, I have gone from 0-200-0-20 mythril in just the last month or so by doing a bunch of Story missions on Elite that I had sitting for forever, event dungeons, etc. hell, we were all given 75 free Mythril in the last week or so alone!

I just yolo 3 pulled on yuna's bssb banner. Tiny Bee GOT! 8D
sooooooooo happy, I was told that Burst mode last forever if you have the weapon, if so I'm *** solid for aoe curing forever, hell might not even have to put a cure spell on her if it's even half decent (start her with clouds rm3 or tyros.)
~200myth, assuming i can hit 250 myth by the time tactics ends, I need some advice on where to put my pulls.
super tossup between banner5 and tactics. I don't have native wall OR hastega. wutdo :(
My current thoughts are just doing one 11pull on banner5 and just whaling hard on tactics (even prepared to spend roughly $50, though that will be all i spend on this game for the rest of the year lol)

Yeah Banner 5 vs FFT is the big debate I'm having with myself and many others. It is not an easy decision.

Do 2 or 3 pulls on 5 then use the rest on fft. Wall is the largest upgrade you can get for your party and the relics for it come up very rarely

I managed to pull HoTE (Leons SB, Golden armor) from lucky draw. pretty much the ONLY atk party buff that stacks with ramza's shout. (it's +40% atk/def to party, as one buff)
also pulled squall's SSB (honestly not a huge fan of squall, but seeing as it's my 2nd ssb, and currently strongest (other being reds), I'll *** take it lol.
Once i get Ramza and platinum sword, ultimates will be cake D:

Woo! Finally got around to doing the second half of Minwu today, and mastered the Ultimate 1/2. First try I tried going in withough Wall since it didn't pop on my RW list. Big mistake, lol. Second time I went in I Mastered it with only 1 medal lost on Damage Taken. :D
Setup was:
Gordon: Dark Buster R3/Armor Breakdown R1 - Goddess's Bell - Mako Might
Lenna: Curaja R5/Shellga R2 - Princess' Favor/Flames of War - Dr. Mog's Teachings
Cloud: Blizzaga Strike R2/Tempo Flurry R3 - Fenrir Overdrive - Ace Striker
Kefka: Ruinga R2/Meteor R1 - Havoc Wing - Vow of Veangance
Leon: Draw Fire R2/Armor Strike R5 - Darkborn Blade - Knight's Charge
RW: SS2
Order I killed was Fire > Ice > Thunder

I think the real problem is that Wall is obviously the most important SB in the game, but requires you to use a very iffy character. Scream is likely the 2nd most important relic in the game, and is attached to a character you can use in 99% of situations. So which would you rather take and which would you rather RW?
Then it becomes even more confusing by how loaded banner 5 is, but then I already have 2 of the better relics on it, but I also have a relic that is pretty close to scream, argh I can't pick!

Wall doesn't have to be on an iffy character if you use SS2. You always need a WHM so that pretty much just cements her in my party all the time for anything serious.

We don't have a chance at Thyrus until the XIV event after the Braska event. Which is 14 events away.
Unless we're lucky and they don't screw with the BSSB events banners like they did for our SSB events banners.

It's worth noting that while there are people that swear by him, the general consensus by the biggest community (reddit) is that he is still not a very good character. It's true once he was laughed at as almost Khimari level and has risen in the ranks but as of the last "Rate characters" poll he's barely above the bottom half of the list still.
It's worth mentioning that poll specifically states to use what relics you have in your judgement. If I had SG I'd certainly rate Tyro a 5/5 just because of how good that relic is, so the results are skewed hard because of SG owners and after that he's still only rated a 3.6 which is the same level as all of the low tier Black Mages.

Sounds like a bug to be fixed to me. That proves my point though doesn't it :P. People with SG will rate him amazing because SG is broken.

Tyro does have the cool thing going for him that every viable ability added does add some power to him since he can use every ability. Things like Power Steal, Full Break, Punishing Palm, Dances, Shadowsteel, etc added some strength to him.

Maybe one day he'll grow on me, but atm I completely dislike him. I'm not even fond of the fact I'm going to have to spend eggs/stamina on him to get his RM. >_>
I don't even thing I'd use him if I pulled SG, given I already have (a not so efficient) 2/3 of the trinity. And considering how janky my set-up for Silver Dragon was, I don't think running out of RW charges for Ultimates is an issue I'm going to have.

This is the main reason for my conflict on Banner 5 vs FFT. If you have SG, you RW Scream, and if you have Scream, you RW SG. Because of Tyros relative weakness and Ramzas strength, native Scream should be better than native SG.

I have SG since Parade Float, still I like to use him as a damage dealer the most. But that just after I got his SLG and since Exdeath U up till Bahamut Sin, it was my strongest SB. And it never failed to hit the cap with proper setup (full defense debuff, steal power, RS weapoon).
People rate Tyro based solely on his stats. Stats means nothing as you should always use proper buff, and he with my RS gear, he often hit the soft cap. At that point, there is almost no diference between Sephiroth and Tyro. At soft cap, any multiplier 1.7 (Lifesiphon or the SLG individual hits) can reach cap.

Oh wow, you are right on the tier list. I was looking at the one from December not Febuary.
Stats mean a lot. Your gear has to be absolutely insane and you have to be using some even crazier buffs to soft cap on Tyro. Since he will never have RS and his attack is lower than any good DPS to begin with, you are starting with an insane handicap.
Started playing a few days ago under the suggestion from a linkshell mate. The game is definitely nostalgic, & I am having a blast. It's for iOS, and Android smartphones and tablets. Currently trying to complete these timed events.
Any one else loving the global release of this game? It's been out in Japan for some time. We finally get in on the goodies
