Grab the commemoration gifts and try for the banner 5 aiming at least 5 relics. If you dont get it, restart a new account and try again.

Yeah I've ran Vanille decently often as I can't reliably Medica on my Whm since I mentioned. I have medicas on Vanille, Yuffie, Selphie, "Tyro" since his sucks, and a shared Healing Staff. Vanille and Yuffie can cover it sometimes. In fact I just grabbed Vanille MC2 for that fact. I just pulled Yunas Hymn yesterday so I'm excited to try to fit her in somehow. I think Yuna with Hymn will make a better support DD than Vanille with Oerba.

I have Fenrir Overdrive, Crushing Blow, and Blasting Zone, all of which as you just listed are better (except blasting on multi hit). If I didn't already have so much offensive spellblade power I'd certainly be more interested in Agrias.

Also just picked up MC2 for Vanille and Locke. Now the hard decision of Pecil, Gilga, Bartz, Vivi, Lulu, or Hope.

my Locke doesn't have crap, whereas I pulled both Excalibur and Orichalcum yesterday. so, given the option of having a useful soul break vs not was where I was trying to get some input, as Thieves were not really great for me in general because default Soul Breaks are ***.

Just saying Thiefs Raid is so fun. Was using Locke on Phantom Train which resists all the breaks and still managed to get it to 5k a hit so 25k total.

Decided to get Bartz & Vivi's MC2

Vivi's RM3 turns attack into Ruin and it's great for Autoing Trash in orb fest atm :)

I imagine with Steal Power and a good Attack buff it's probably pretty ridiculous, which definitely has me leaning towards Zidane right now. I pulled hard on this banner to get Mighty Guard for Quistis because I had no Haste SB prior (but do now, thank god).

I need to really reevaluate my party at this point, because of the new weapons gains as well as the 3x 80 cap crystals (took Locke, Bartz, and Gilgamesh, in hopes of having the mythril for another pull or two). I have been using Terra for Breakdowns as well as elemental magic, despite having no good weapons for her, but she may be nudged out by Quistis now. Bartz/Locke can hit 80 Cap, but Zidane is the only Thief I have with both a good SB AND the ability to use Thief's Revenge. Cloud is a mainstay because they cannot stop fapping to VII and I have his BSSB. I really like Tifa's SB from Platinum Fist because I typically am rolling a melee beatdown setup. Lenna is my best WHM but I have zero AoE heals available to me, so it's mostly moot who fills that spot. so I really have 3 interchangeable slots by sacrificing Tifa, or two keeping in Cloud/Tifa/Lenna.

Yeah Thief Raid is so awesome. I'm really annoyed I didn't get anything good on that banner 1, but I'm refusing to spend anything big on this game anymore. Kinda feel I'm not gonna be able to do some ultimates w/o an aoe heal or hastega natively but I've been ok so far outside of the bahamut one which was expert.

sooo my MCII options are; cecil, gilgamesh, bartz, locke, tifa, aerith, vivi, lulu, vanille, hope. I only have a relic for bartz (excalibur). which 3 would be the most optimal in terms of character usefulness?

You get one from the Nightmare thing too.

Bartz is a no brainner.

Vivi, Lulu if you strictly run a mage party. Vanille, Hope or Aeris if you run a mage party and need a mage to fill both roles of curing/buffing and still damage dealing.

If you run a physical party, wait till you see what SSB you can get from the SSB banners. Having one SSB will certainly put that char above the rest. Without a SSB, Gilgamesh is more versatile than the others as he has access to several 5* abilities plus has access to every melee weapon. The worst is Dark Cecil as he just have combat ability and 2 weapons. Pally Cecil is good with his 4* white magic. Tifa is just barely better than Dark Cecil. Locke is the only that hit the max of Thiefs Raid and has steal abilities.

Okay the hall of rites seems cool. I got 2 crystals left arm. I'm using tyrosine Joseph cloud sephiroth and who else should I snag from those available? As you can see image physical kinda person.

I'm using MC2's based on the RM from them. Tyro, Tidus, Sephiroth and Dark Cecil are on the top of my list.

With the exception of Vanille's, as she's my only Medica available so far.

Tidus. Not because hes awesome but his RM3 is amazing (increase the SB charge gain). That plus lifesiphon means you can use SB every 2~3 turns.

Btw, important topic about upcoming MC2 and MC 2 Lode from future events.

Wow Ultima Buster was super easy, I wanna see Ultima spell!

I just realized I don't have a single good SB on a 5* Blm.

That was really really really easy, the only scary thing was the 5000~ damage fire attack he did at the end. Killed Rydia since she has like 3k HP in synergy.

I'm not even sure I'd take Wall if I did it again, his damage output was so low.

100 gem pull - 4 star hammer :| Then I went and spent 5 mythril, got 3 star junk, then I went to the SSB banner and got Sabin's gloves lol.

So magic lure does not work on the single target Nightmare spells. Dumb.

Edit, neither does reflect. Dumbdumb.

Edit 2. Killed it with hastega and spamming highest firajas and ifrits on the orb from all characters. It also seems to only use meteor before summoning the orb if you don't deal enough damage to it prior.

Pulled Wakka's SSB with a 100 gem pull.

Blew 50 mythril and got yuna's and jechts weapons. Hopefully decent.

I'm wondering if either I bugged my game somehow as I'm thinking spaghetti coding due to FFXI or if RNG just truly dislikes me in RK.

I'm currently working on getting Tidus' RM2 since I want the highly coveted RM3. I grinded him to 65 via orb event leading up to the MC2 unlocks via Hall of Rites but never took the time to get his RM2 leading up this.

I broke his cap and started to grind FFX dungeons for RM2. Did that for a little (go go Zanarkend Classic). Then the Eternal Dawn event opened and now I've pretty much grinded through all the levels except for the 99 difficulty one with Tidus in my party and haven't gotten his RM2 yet.

I just ask because I've gotten Clouds RM3 already, Tyro's RM3, and Garnet's RM2/3 (I'm not sure how many RMs she actually has when I think about it) while going through the Eternal Calm event but still nothing with Tidus.

The reason I'm thinking I bugged my game is because if I broke level cap without RM2 unlocked and somehow if the programming is taking precedence to check for RM3 which is overriding the RM2 check, I can't get RM2 since RM3 is taking precedence.

TLDR: Please tell me I can still get RM2 after I break the second level cap on a character and that my RNG is just crap because I would be perturbed but understanding (lol)

You can still get RM2s after breaking the second level cap- there's just some that come sooner than others.

Josefs RM2 has been the subject of some awful RNG with people spending nearly over 2000 stamina trying to get it.

It's just RNG. IIRC, Series specific RM2 have notoriously bad drop rates.

Tyro took for ever to give me Dr. Mog... I grinded him frim 65-71 before finally dropped. -_-;
