They don't grow gil, they group Torque/shield in every slot.

Maybe SE will have mercy and all SU3 is whitebox and there is no NQ. Or maybe NQ turns HQ by dumping 1000 JP into the item through an angry goblin!

Anything on DRG yet?
By clearlyamule 2017-05-09 11:31:29
Probably wont see anything till update time. Jp side does these sneak peak live videos that sometimes showcase tidbits of the update but that's it. They might have said something in it but it's often hard to get info since they usually done during jp times in Japanese and videos are only uploaded around the update itself

Given I already have like 20k stored up and the other items on it are fairly worthless and ridiculously costed otherwise I wouldn't mind... of course they'd make it so that category didn't open up till you delivered all the other goods to him and unlocked everything else first

How? That's Damage Taken as in you take more damage and then some is converted back into TP. This means you need to take hits in it meaning your TPing in it. AF+3 seems to be a better WS piece. Is is nothing but a SD macro piece, you put it on with SD up and them once something hits you you remove it, assuming you survive the hit.
Overall it's just bleh, now maybe the other slots have something interesting for builds but the body isn't one of them.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this comes with +56 Scythe skill, 48 STR and 47 Accuracy.
Isn't the 56 skill essentially attack + 56/ Accuracy + 56 ?

Overall it's just bleh, now maybe the other slots have something interesting for builds but the body isn't one of them. Scarlet Delirium's damage bonus depends on the amount of damage you take compared to your max HP, so swapping this body in would actually lower how much of a bonus it gives because of the HP +533. If you want a body swap for Scarlet Delirium, you'd be better off unequipping the slot or using Plastron.
As for the piece itself, it's amazing for accuracy when using a scythe, and is ever so slightly better than Ignominy body +3 in terms of damage (while giving a lot more accuracy) for scythe WSs.

Actually, in that train of thought, I know that in the past we modeled a value "n" for skills at which the 1:1 ratio started to decay through to ~1:.9 or so, maybe even less. It was pretty clear relationship between increasing skill and decreasing ratio.
Do we have updated numbers for that scaling? Off the top of my head I've been considering skill values over cap + merit + AG relic (say adding comb. torque on top of that all) as ~ .8:1 ratio, but I don't actually have any numbers to back that up.

Above 600 skill, 1 Skill gives 0.9 accuracy and 1 attack.

He's probably thinking more along the lines of actually tping/tanking in it with 999999 HP after mbing drain 3 like the dacnomania video except now the damage the mob is doing is losing at least one X-hit during any rounds that you're hit.

Just looked over the DRK AF +3 body and their about the same.
Quote: DEF:166 HP+164 MP+122 STR+46 DEX+29 VIT+39 AGI+29 INT+29 MND+29 CHR+29
Accuracy+50 Attack+48 Evasion+61 Magic Evasion+68 "Magic Def. Bonus"+5 Enfeebling magic skill +22 Haste+3%

Accuracy+47 Evasion+70 Magic Evasion+117 Haste+3%
Scythe Skill+56 Weaponskill Damage+10%
Damage Taken+14% Converts Damage Taken to TP+10%
DRK Lv99
AF+3 has more INT/MND/VIT 2 less STR 5 less DEX and doesn't have the scythe skill. Scythe WS's tend to be stuff like 60% STR/MND, 85% INT, 60% STR/INT, 20% STR/INT and so forth. Torcleaver is a one hit WS with 80% VIT. Because of those you still need the DRK AF +3 body so this basically becomes a high accuracy piece (sameish attack) and a macro piece for SD.
The bonus for SD is determined by the percentage of lost HP not the actual numerical amount. A 500HP DRK taking a 250HP hit will receive the same (25%) bonus as a 9999HP DRK taking a 4499HP hit (25%). Maxing HP out to 9.9K actually lowers the bonus from SD but increase's survivability, something DRK desperately struggles with. A DRK at 2.1K HP taking 1500 damage hit will receive a 35% damage bonus for 90s, a 9999K HP DRK taking the same 1500 damage hit will receive a 7.5% damage bonus.
I only see two situations where this is useful. First is for SD macro, when you see it reading a big TP move you put it on and hope you don't die. The second is after NV DS Drain III when your riding high HP and you can afford to play dangerous for a bit so you toss this on every time the NM readies a TP move or looks in your direction. It's lack of other stats hurts it here, I really wish it had like DA/TA or even Store TP so that it didn't screw with TP sets you could benefit from random splash AoE damage.

That doesn't make it broken unless he's using it on CL140~150 content, hell even Omen MB's (CL139). Nobody cares what people do with trusts in a corner, if stuff like that is important to someone they need to play a single player RPG which has a far better environment for that stuff.

When you're not under the influence of NV Drain III, putting this on before being hit will actually reduce or break even on SD's bonus.
Let's say you have 2100 HP in a normal body, and you take 1000 damage. That gives a +23.8% SD.
Now, if you swap this body in, you have ~2570 HP and take ~1140 damage. That gives a +22.2% SD. Even if we assume the attack was magical, the missing MDB over Valorous or Emicho/+1 would bring the damage to ~1180, giving a +23.0% SD.
If you have more base HP from Ionis or HP Vorseals, it'll fare a little better, but still doesn't quite catch up.

Hi.
Dev tracker is a kind of feed in Official Forum that highlight (in the left side bar) posts from development team to players demands, questions and sugestion. Given that those answers are given by someone who effectively works with the deveopment of this game, they can be considered as official and true.
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/forum.php
The japanese side of OF has its own dev tracker, that normally is way more active and detailed than english side. If someone feel like translating it to bring the info, feel welcomed too.
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/search.php?searchid=15480698
BG site has one specific topic just to publish and discuss those official answers, and i think ffxiah lacks something similar as not everyone here check BG or OF, so lots of details/dev opinion are missed. So, thats the point of this topic, anyone who see new info in dev tracker feeds, quote it here, and start a discussion if you feel like.
Starting now, a couple of new dev posts were released after march update annoucement. Here they are:
Trust changes
Quote: [dev1261] Alter Ego Adjustments
It will be possible to summon alter egos in the following content.
Walk of Echoes
Wanted battles
It will be possible to summon alter egos in the following mission battlefields.
Wings of the Goddess missions
When Wills Collide / Maiden of the Dusk
It will be possible to summon alter egos for the following quest battlefields.
Wings of the Goddess quests
Champion of the Dawn / The Dawn Also Rises / A Forbidden Reunion
-----
Dev answer to a sugestion to add new ways to obtain dusk type of alluvion skirmish stone.
Quote: Since dusk-type stones were just implemented, we'd like players to do alluvion skirmishes to obtain them, so there are no plans to add the ability to trade other items for these stones at the moment.
However, we'll look into increasing the amount in circulation and the means of obtaining them in some way in a future version update.
Monster rearing news:
Quote: [dev1262] Mog Garden Adjustments
Monster Rearing will undergo the following adjustments.
A monster's mood will no longer degrade from "beaming with pure contentment" after collecting items or interacting with the monster.
The collective moods of all creatures will generate auras of light or darkness that affects them all.
Light
When the number of creatures beaming with pure contentment is greater than that succumbing to darkness, all creatures’ contentment and mood are increased.
Darkness
When the number of creatures succumbing to darkness is greater than that beaming with pure contentment, all monsters' contentment and mood are decreased.
The following information will be displayed when entering your Mog Garden.
The number of days left on assistants’ contracts.
The current affinity of the Mog Garden.
Mog garden gathering points will undergo the following adjustments.
It will be possible to scrap any unwanted flotsam directly without receiving it in cases where the player’s inventory is full or he is otherwise unable to recover it.
Sugestion about blu traits having aditional tier info.
Quote: This is something that is difficult for us to address at the moment as we would have to send data each time you open the menu to see which tier you currently have. We're concerned about this largely affecting UI response time.
Similarly the same holds true for saving the data client-side as well. Since all of the trait data for this would have to be saved, it would consume large amounts of memory, which also makes this feature difficult to implement.
