ok, so... how it went with Microsoft, had to go through a few steps, 1; try a different game (tried dead island:riptide), 2; try a different SE game (tried last remnant), both of which worked fine. they just wanted to try to isolate problem. but anyways, while rep was friendly, they can't really do much and suggested trying SE *coughs* support *coughs again* so, will try that, but I think if enough of us winge at Microsoft they may have to give SE a phonecall to say what the f*** u playin' at. just to shut us up if nothing else. but will try SE anyway. hope ya'll having better luck than me and if anyone has any further info, please share so we can get this sorted asap, and, btw, they didn't suggest a reset of system cache to me at all. damn sorry on long message
