My intelligent doesn't have anything to do with my analysis of what is actually correct

I have no intention of claiming I am smart therefore everything I say is correct.

everything I say has been backed by weeks and weeks of research.
What does your "weeks of weeks of research" have anything to do with the veracity of what you say?
Quality and documentation of sources says far more than duration.

anyone can say evolution is true as long as they think about it but it takes a special kind someone in order to backup creationism.
Wait what? I don't want you thinking that evolution is true because it logically makes sense.
I want to thinking that the theory of evolution best matches the evidence that we see, as determined by empirical studies.

it logically makes sense because of empirical studies

katakana isn't a cakewalk
Katakana and Hiragana are very easy to learn, just repeat some pages on a notebook you'll be done pretty soon.

Kanji though...
honestly after this physics class if I can learn anything at all I'll be impressed.

The sad part is, I know I knew a lot of this ***at one point, but it's been lost to the ether.

As far as I know it's a cry of joy, how's that offensive?

And yeah, obviously it's easier to learn by being on the spot than in a classroom. However movies, shows, etc can help greatly.

What is an Islamic cry? Can you show me one please.

*islamic cry* lululululululu!
Do you see how this can be offensive towards muslims/arabs?
Or are you that racist?

Offensive or not? You decide.
Not really - Cohen was taking the piss out of Arab dictators. That movie is probably more popular in the Arab world than it is in the west.
There's a world of difference between "Team America" and Cohen's work.

I found both to be satirical, Team America is pretty offensive all around. So was Borat if you ask the right people.

I'm not Spanish so I don't understand the relevance or what the term means.
If a spaniard told me it offends them, I would refrain from using it. That's the civil thing to do. Or I could be a right titt and carry on saying it and then argue with them about why I think it isn't offensive. I'm sure they would have preferred me not exercising my ignorance though.

Exactly this.
Simple grammar system, phonetic alphabets... You pretty much just need to put time in for memorization of katakana/hiragana and vocabulary.
That, and (like everything else) constant practice.

I watched one of the news videos of some fighters shooting something out of the sky. I probably heard that phrase shouted like x30 throughout the whole vid.

That's because it is indeed an Islamic phrase meaning "God is Greater".

However, its not "lulululululu"

Sehachan's comment was obviously made in a non-derogatory context and meant to demonstrate her impartial opinion. /sarcasm off

Edit: I'm glad Jet agrees with her. Birds of a feather and all that.

I think you're looking into it a bit much. I didn't really see the offense, it's sorta like saying a Spanish cry of jajajajajajaja but more Islamic 'n stuff.

But maybe I'm assuming Seha isn't a racist. I do tend to give people too much credit, but I have faith in this one.

I don't think he meant to offend anyone with his movies.

However,I wouldn't be naive or ignorant enough to use a term from one of Cohen's movie.

Yeah it wasn't derogatory you turnip.

And btw it wasn't what Sparth said either. I meant the high pitched, repeating L cry of joy that is typical only in islamic countries(at least I've never seen it performed anywhere else). I made no reference of it having any negative connotation.

The lulululululu thing made me think of the thing with stewie griffin when Peter founded Petopia after discovering that his land wasn't officially a part of America. Some dictator of some sort was shwoing him how to do some kind of death cry but I'm not quite sure if it was realted to Islam at all.

I gotta find a clip of that now...

Actually, its nothing like the Spanish "Jajajaja".
If anything it is more closely resembled by racist shouting "Sig Heil" or "Heil Hitler" in the presence of Germans.

Can you see the difference?
