Wonder why they would make it only work on the first hit given that Dragoon specializes in having multi hit weapon skills. We don't have any 1 hitters with damage varies with TP except Full Swing and Retribution.

The trait only works when wyvern is out or does it just scale with its level? My questions is does /drg get use of this at all

It gets 7%. I went MNK/DRG and got the trait. There are two unique bonuses: one 6-tier trait called "Weapon Skill Damage Bonus" (21%), and another passive trait that is linked to your wyvern's level-up bonus (10% max). The 1st (and only) subbable tier for /drg would get 7%, making it a little better for hate shedding sub job of choice.

Was poking selkit and avgd about39k a ws. Had 2 geos and a cor for buffs.atk was at about 3.3k tho not sure what i should sit at to cap it.

R15 Gungnir is pretty nice. Especially when spamming at 1k TP.
If there is TP overflow you can still use Stardiver.
I think Trish still wins for pure damage/ideal buffs.
But Gungnir is a really nice weapon when fighting multiple enemies with groups of people. Not to mention it's probably are strongest option for spamming light skill chains.
I tried out Cam. Torment and it wasn't too hot.
The only thing I hate about 1 hit weaponskills is:
-Low tp return, even more so since you are stacking WSDMG gear.
-If it misses, you also miss out on dealing a huge chunk of damage. Missing the first hit on Stardiver only screws with your tp return.
Sonic Thrust got a really nice boost with this. It becomes an even stronger cleaving weaponskill.
Impulse with Shining one seemed kinda lack luster compared to the lances I mentioned, even at 3K tp.

I did the same thing. Go /dnc though, you still hit haste cap and it has a few better features for keeping yourself alive (since shadows are iffy now of days).
Also, you can cap haste single wield with /dnc as well, amazingly. Drg power go go!
As far as offhand swords, there are not many options though. I went with the same one, though I suppose you could wield a kaja sword OH if you need more acc/atk/stats.

OAT sword off hand seems like a waste since DRG gets a fair amount of multi attack imo.
Naeg/Kaja might be pretty solid.

I'm hoping it does apply to all hits. But my Stardivers don't "feel" any different. My current buffs/trusts are too inconsistent though.

Is that just one cherry picked out of a few? What was the average looking like.
Niqmadu Proc, full crits, etc?
It wasn't worth holding TP just to see those numbers.

I was checking wiki. Hepatizon rapier +1 has higher dps than kaja sword offhand and comes with two mild savage blade modifiers in str/mind.

Wsd usually only applies to first hits I thought? Generally yes. The only exceptions are the linked hidden WS boost on Relics and Mythics. And the augments on all the Ultimates. And the boosts on the Ambuscade weapons.
Traditionally any listed on gear is only for the first hit of a WS. Same with Gifts.
However, if but as of right now, it looks like our new trait and the wyvern bonus are additive with gear WSD, but they also apply to all hits of a weaponskill. is right, then we're looking at DRG's JT being like those aforementioned exceptions. (Though given how large 31% is compared to 5%, the Gifts should probably be double checked to make sure that they weren't overlooked and are only for the first hit.)
