I was under the SEVERE impression that they said back in idk 2012-2013 that they could not add new job abilities because of a technical hard cap of 15 JAs per job. This was also why no new spells could be added due to approaching the cap.

I strongly suspect the new job ability for DRG will be a pet command, and if it's not, then why the HELL haven't Dragoons gotten new job abilities like years ago? Perhaps they found a way to overcome it, or perhaps the new skill will share a recast with an existing skill (damage version of Super Jump, self buff version for Spirit Link?). Hell they can make Deep Breathing a pet command and open a slot up. They said "abilities" which implies more than 1. I am mega curious to what they add. Some kind of self buff or AoE party buff would be greatly appreciated.
My wishlist for potential job abilities/traits would be:
-A buff that grants moderate Save TP for 30 seconds (think Penta Spam from back in the day, but now in Job Ability form)
-A buff that allows you to ignore 25% defense for 30 seconds.
-A JA akin to Deus Ex Automata. Calls a weakened Wyvern to your side, or calls a normal Wyvern but gives you a penalty like HP-20% for 1 minute, or maybe consumes 50% of your HP to call a wyvern with max HP equal to that 50% for 1 minute or something
-JA that makes your Wyvern Invincible for 30 seconds.
-JA that heals your Wyvern to full for free, and gives a 1 minute max HP boost to the Wyvern, 3 min recast.
-Trait that buffs weapon skill damage
-Trait that allows you to occasionally receive a massive attack boost or maybe it has you ignore 50% of a target's defense on proc.
-Trait that reduces HP% taken from the Dragoon during Spirit Link
IDK maybe they will borrow some ideas from FFXIV DRG (FFXIV DRG borrows Stardiver and many weapon skill names from FFXI DRG...). Dragon Dive could share recast with Super Jump? Puts you in the air but doesn't shed enmity, but grants you 4x normal TP. Lance Charge could be a self damage buff, etc
