Right on cue, falsely claims to have done it, says he won't do it again, so he remains holding absolutely nothing. Classic Aman. Still no evidence presented by anyone that Hillary broke any laws. Of course, it isn't going to happen, considering if evidence existed, it would have been presented already by some Republican in Congress.
And he's resorting to pathetic baiting and playing the victim in record time.
lol are you denying that I posted it Jass? You claimed to have read it and quoted my post in posts of your own. Girl, you cray cray.

You didn't cite anything. Its pretty clear in your post history (who the hell backreads?) that you are following your script of expecting everyone to take your word for it. You have nothing but insults and false statements, as usual.

Its funny how Aman was Altima before we had Altima, he just posts things he doesn't understand that actually debunks his opinion, but claims he is right and insults everyone that points out the obvious.

Good, because we are all tired of waiting on you to actually tell us what law was broken as opposed to what law was not broken, which is all you have managed to do.

Yes, you posted a law that was not broken. If that was your goal then great job. We are still waiting for you to actually post a law that was broken, thats the crux of your tirade isn't it? So much for not responding huh? Keep following your predictable script. Your insults are as empty as your argument.

I posted laws she broke. KN posted other laws she broke. You ignore them. There is no point in discussing it further with you. You subscribe to the concept that unfortunately millions of people do. There are two sets of laws in this county. There are the laws that all of us live by and then there are the laws that the Clintons live by. This will just be another felony that we are told to "moveon" from with plenty of useful idiots carrying water for them.
What tirade btw? Pointing out correctly to Orongul that the law Hillary broke was not in place until 2009 and that Colin Powell would therefore not be a fair comparison? Pointing out his race baiting? Then Jassik did his usual no life having pick a losing argument thing for 10 pages.

Night Amanda.
Ya know, if you expanded the 'Clinton vs rest of us' dynamic to the 'upper class vs the lower/middle class', you'd make a good lib.

I'll give you guys all night to read over the law. I expect people to admit that she did break it, and give various reasons why she deserves a pass for something anybody with a (R) next to their name would have been convicted already.
That's NARA, which SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDES confidential communique. It also states that the head of any agency can alter their reporting policies without notifying.
She didn't break any law by not disclosing the emails. Does 2016 already have all you reactionaries so freaked out? Yup, you didn't even bother reading the law that I posted.
A law requiring all agencies, including agency heads, to maintain official records of government business, and you try to skew it away so the agency head isn't subject to that law that specifically requires him/her to keep records of all governmental business.
You are going about it all wrong.
I'm surprised that nobody bothered to mention the Federal Records Act at all. Since it requires agencies (and heads of agencies) to maintain all records of government business in a public database unless deemed classified for security purposes.
Which she shouldn't have the ability to claim (she may have security clearance, but not the ability to create secret or above documents).
Is that a joke? You don't think the Secretary of State has the ability to create top secret documents? Pretty much all outgoing correspondence from the State Dept. is going to be classified. The public is not entitled to see the conversations between foreign leaders. This is exactly why no one is mentioning the Federal Records Act. Except that she isn't disclosing the records to the government period. Remember, it's not the public that's requesting the information, it's the government.
I guess that little tidbit is irrelevant for anyone who blindly supports liberals.

Quote: When Genevieve Wood from the ultra conservative and Koch-funded Heritage Foundation faced off against Bill Maher, she was left speechless and visibly flustered by a pointed question that pierced the hypocrisy of the Republican economic argument against Obama.
“We now have a pretty amazing economy,” Maher began. “Republicans always said Obama was a socialist. Does that mean they were wrong about that, or does socialism work?”
As soon as Maher asked her the question, you can hear an audible gasp from the crowd as they quickly realize that he just checkmated her.
She was left floundering, smiling nervously, and admitting that it was a “good question.”
Although he could merely contain his laughter, you can even tell that Bill Maher felt a little bad for his conservative guest, because he tried to make light of it with a joke about how unfair of a question it was (because it was so good), and even apologized in jest.

The more I think about it, it's more like 80%
But let's not get bogged down in technicalities. There is much politics to discuss!
Quote: The dollar hit multi-year highs against the euro and yen and emerging markets were under mounting pressure on Tuesday, as the prospect of the first rise in U.S. interest rates in almost a decade stoked global volatility.
The skittish mood spread from Asia into Europe where stocks <0#.INDEXE> fell a second day despite the European Central Bank's new bond buying campaign continuing to push down the euro and the bloc's already record-low borrowing costs.
Driving up the dollar was speculation that the Federal Reserve will start lifting interest rates from mid-year after another stellar set jobs data on Friday and a subsequent chorus of hawkish Fed policymaker comments.
The euro's rapid melt lower was compounded by worries about Greece as euro zone finance ministers prepared to meet in Brussels, a day after the head of the group, Jeroen Dijsselbloem, had urged Athens to "stop wasting time" and start reforms.
Selling in the euro had gathered pace again in Europe as a break below a major layer of chart support at $1.0762 to $1.0735 left bears eyeing $1.07 the figure and some mulling parity. Britain's pound was also piling on the pressure. It topped 1.40 euros for the first time since late 2007.
The dollar had broken higher on the yen in Asia to reach 122.02, territory not visited since July 2007.
"It is all about the Fed now," said Aurelija Augulyte senior FX strategist at Nordea in Helsinki. "The ECB (bond buying) bias has now been fully digested, but what the market is now trying to do is price in earlier Fed rate hikes."
The prospect of rising U.S. yields threatened to draw funds away from emerging markets, causing strains from Brazil to Turkey. The Brazilian real led the rout, having fallen for the sixth straight session.
The pressure then spread through Asia and Africa with the South Korean won hitting its lowest since late August 2013, the Singapore dollar since 2010 and South Africa's rand in 13 years.
Eastern Europe was also heavily in the red. Selling accelerated for Poland's zloty, the Czech crown, Romania's leu and Hungary's forint while MSCI's main emerging market stock index .MSCIEF fell for its eighth day running.
"At times like these it is really the currency moves, nobody really cares about the carry anymore," said Jeffries emerging markets strategist Richard Segal. Dollar at 12-year peak vs euro, emerging markets spooked

The quote from Maher is still priceless though. I watched the video, he barely gave her time to answer.
There are many factors associated with the economy, and she is more than likely not the best person to answer that loaded question.

Genuine story/study.
Quote: Significance
Narcissistic individuals feel superior to others, fantasize about personal successes, and believe they deserve special treatment. When they feel humiliated, they often lash out aggressively or even violently. Unfortunately, little is known about the origins of narcissism. Such knowledge is important for designing interventions to curtail narcissistic development. We demonstrate that narcissism in children is cultivated by parental overvaluation: parents believing their child to be more special and more entitled than others. In contrast, high self-esteem in children is cultivated by parental warmth: parents expressing affection and appreciation toward their child. These findings show that narcissism is partly rooted in early socialization experiences, and suggest that parent-training interventions can help curtail narcissistic development and reduce its costs for society.
Abstract
Narcissism levels have been increasing among Western youth, and contribute to societal problems such as aggression and violence. The origins of narcissism, however, are not well understood. Here, we report, to our knowledge, the first prospective longitudinal evidence on the origins of narcissism in children. We compared two perspectives: social learning theory (positing that narcissism is cultivated by parental overvaluation) and psychoanalytic theory (positing that narcissism is cultivated by lack of parental warmth). We timed the study in late childhood (ages 7–12), when individual differences in narcissism first emerge. In four 6-mo waves, 565 children and their parents reported child narcissism, child self-esteem, parental overvaluation, and parental warmth. Four-wave cross-lagged panel models were conducted. Results support social learning theory and contradict psychoanalytic theory: Narcissism was predicted by parental overvaluation, not by lack of parental warmth. Thus, children seem to acquire narcissism, in part, by internalizing parents’ inflated views of them (e.g., “I am superior to others” and “I am entitled to privileges”). Attesting to the specificity of this finding, self-esteem was predicted by parental warmth, not by parental overvaluation. These findings uncover early socialization experiences that cultivate narcissism, and may inform interventions to curtail narcissistic development at an early age. Too much praise: Overvaluing kids acts as catalyst for narcissism - study

You'll have to point me towards that conversation. There's another post that directly attacks me and accuses me of being a liberal, but I'm too lazy to look it up.
He lost all respect from me from the first time he accused me of being a liberal, and it pretty much got worse from there.

The real question is who is the most liberal liberal here !
Someone that would make Rachel Maddow seem normal.

I wouldn't worry about that topic too much. There is no middle ground from the so called pro side. I would have just let it go. It turns bad, fast.
I'd be concerned if it spread to other topics, but that's just me.

Random Politics & Religion is for topics that aren't thread worthy on their own and do not have their own existing thread.
Rules and Guidelines
Forum Rules and P&R Section Guidelines still apply.
Satire is tolerated.
If your topic covers a story over 6 months old (Watergate, Benghazi, 2012 Election, etc.) post it here.
Discussions on racism, homophobia, transphobia, and the like are allowed, targeted insults based on these will not be tolerated.
Political debates get heated and are meant to be intense, if you take offense to being called or proven wrong, you don't belong here.
If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen; if you prove you can't handle the criticism you bring upon yourself in this thread, you may be removed from it. You are responsible for what you post.
Along those lines, heat is fine, but sustained, clearly personal hostility is not okay. The personal attack rules still apply. Attack positions, not posters. Failure to adhere to this will result in your removal from the thread.
