Not but I have been told I have the same personality as John Wayne Gacy.

Thanks. Yeah I saw that earlier was just curious how long it takes for something to hit the market typically.

Since it is the government I'd say a good guess is surprisingly long.

I find cracked entertaining. Where else would you find out about a suicidal dog bridge? (number 5)
It's great as long as you go in with the mindset that it's a comedy website and realize that a lot of the content is poorly researched.

To end global warming you have to put on a pair of Nike shoes and kill yourself. It has to be true Al Gore told me so.

So, how can you blow up Jonah's tomb when Jonah was swallowed by a whale?

Because he didn't die in the whale. On another note, he probably wasn't buried there anyway.

So he lived in a whale for a while? On another note, is there any actual evidence that says he existed.

Three days. As far as actual evidence of his existence is concerned, I have no idea. I believe there is evidence for other biblical figures of his era, but yeah, I'm no expert.

Technically speaking, it was a "large fish". Not that it makes it any less nonsensical.

Yeah, there's some confusion with the translation, but I'm not aware of any underwater creature that you can survive inside of for days on end. It's pretty much divine intervention or bust, but that's kind of the point.

Well, it was a bit of a fish tale, if I ever heard one.
But depending on the variation of the story, Jonah had eaten some of the "fish's" internal flesh to stay alive long enough to 1. be rescued, or 2. find a way to escape on his own.

I wonder which culture that story was stolen from, anyone know? (I'm not privy to the knowledge).

Looks like the story of Jonah first appears in the Hebrew culture:
Wikipedia said: Jonah or Jonas (Hebrew: יוֹנָה, Modern Yona Tiberian Yônā ; dove; Arabic: يونس Yūnus, Yūnis or يونان Yūnān ; Greek/Latin: Ionas) is the name given in the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh/Old Testament) to a prophet of the northern kingdom of Israel in about the 8th century BC. He is the eponymous central character in the Book of Jonah, famous for being swallowed by a fish or a whale, depending on translation. The Biblical story of Jonah is repeated, with a few notable differences, in the Qur'an.

Uh, I think I heard of a connection to Gilgamesh. Proving that is hard, though. There's also the possibility that the story was all allegorical and converted from another story, which I guess would mean it was stolen. I dunno, I might look into it further.

Much of the various bible stories meant to teach morals, were said to have been stolen from the "Epic of Gilgamesh", which date further back than most religions.

Interesting, would be amusing to go hunt down the origins of a lot of these. It's impressive the amount that we already know that they did steal, on top of adding other things to the list. I admire the dedication.

I admire the dedication. While the religion of Christianity was said to be born of faith, the Church and it's doctrines were said to be born of lies and deceit.
I mean, with all the editing of scriptures, the 43+ known different versions of the bible, the various sects born from the cherry picking of beliefs and individual doctrines, etc.
We can clearly say...
