You are correct, it is one of many factors, but as long as choice determines most, if not all of the other factors, then it still should be considered to be a choice.
So now it should be the government's duty to restrict all bodily functions that humans have "control" over?

This is getting to be the stupidest siscussion I've seen on gay or straight sexuality.

This also seems to be a binomial discussion: gay or straight, nothing else exists!

And seriously, masterbation can occur before a relationship exists but in KN's world it seems to have no bearing on sexuality.

No.

Government should not try to legislate marriage and it is stupid for them to do so. Even for the poor excuse of "religious reasons."

I have never supported such legislation, and I never will, because to do so would be akin to trying to control people themselves.

After Burdick was quoted making similar comments Wednesday in an NBC News story, her office received dozens of comments as well as a death threat that was referred to the Oregon State Police, she said. Many supporters of stricter gun laws also contacted her office, she said.

I am not in agree with her proposed legislation at all, but when the minute it gets proposed they start receiving death threats, I start to question my own stance.

"Gee, I want gun owners to be portrayed as responsible people reasonably evoking their second amendment rights, but this person thinks we should restrict those rights...what should I do to reasonably express myself...."

...

"...I'LL *** KILL YOU!"

*sigh*

Abortion is a great cause. If it were not frowned upon, it would have stopped: Adolf Hitler, Osama Bin Ladin, Joseph Stalin, Miley Cyrus, The cross-dressing dictator of North Korea, Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, Carrot-Top, most future dictators and criminals. It would help conservation efforts by allowing the reduction in the size of cemetery plots and hospitals. It would even allow further growth for the healthcare industry by allowing more positions to open up that aren't focused on geriatric care.

This means you have a fundamental misunderstanding of why those choices are made.

intellectual property is hardly a choice.
Actually, the idea of "intellectual property" is a choice, very similar to how currency is a choice. Those ideals are only given power when people invest power into them, which, is a choice.

So, you're wrong on both points.

Who your mate is determines your sexual preference, which is why I said that being gay is a choice.
What your sexual preference is determines your mate more often than the other way around. But that still has nothing to do with sexual preference not being a choice (unless one is bi).

Actually, I just figured out the solution to immigration. If everybody who said they'd move to Canada if (insert political candidate here) got elected were actually forced to follow through, we'd probably manage the U.S. population quite nicely.

I threatened to when Bush got re-elected.

Turns out I was just a college kid that was full of ***.
I did when Palin was running, fortunately (for us all) I never had to find out on whether or not I was serious.

This also seems to be a binomial discussion: gay or straight, nothing else exists!

Probably because bisexuality has a stigma even in the gay community. Many bi-men I've encountered are really not bi, but just gay and using the term bi to attract men.

E.g. "Oh bro I got a girlfriend, I'm bi and on the DL. I just like dudes *** me!"

EDIT: It's also used to perpetuate misogynistic attitudes in the gay community.

Some gay men are convinced that being "bi" somehow gives them their manhood back and not as "fem." So you'll often see the terms bi/str8-acting/butch/DL etc used interchangeably.

E.g. "Oh bro I'm bi I ain't down with Bob he's all fem."

And then people end up not believing in bisexuality when considering this line of thinking.

Eyeroll worthy irony.
