I'll shove some UK politics in here again.
what's going on with the EU exit thing? Pretty confident we'll vote to stay in but you know, thanks Obama for your opinion it really swayed us.
A fair amount of people are jumping on the UKIP bandwagon though.

Your incarnation of the Trumpamania. Best of luck with that fite, at least most people in Britain have seen someone Muslim before.
Most of our good old boys here in the states only see Mooselims in their dreams, or on TV as your stock terrorist bad guys. But all that doesn't matter, we're going to turn our focus to the *real* villains: Mexicans.

I know my one buddy on Facebook is pretty vocal about wanting it to happen.

Ironic because of the light-brown-skinned people in television and film that portray Mexicans, Middle Easterners, eastern Europeans, and Mediterranean nationalities are the same people dressed in marginally accurate regional garb and told to fake an accent.
That is to say, these yokels at home don't know any better, all they know is "not like us, so enemy."

Does he sound Russian? Oh boy, this guy is shifty as fk. Probably organized crime or a human trafficker. Cannon fodder time.
Middle Eastern? Probably either a doctor or wired to 'splode.
Mediterranean? Either the most Italian Italian on the planet, some Greek guy who's going to talk about gods in the intro to a movie or we're watching another Egyptian movie with spray tanned Brits.

Guy rushes Trump's stage at his event, and is of course tackled away by the secret service.
CNN give him an interview! When did we start giving these people TV interviews (the hypocrisy is gargantuan)?
In the interview the guy calls Trump a bully and admits was trying to stop his event.
Free speech does not entitle you to prevent someone else from speaking. Where does the rational for this "safe space" garbage come from?

Sometimes, I wish bad things upon Trump but I stopped because he'd only brag about them if they came true.

Bernie is hardly bought. Also, his record against trade deals like NAFTA and TPP is worth acknowledging. Here's some of his history against those deals, which is ripe for analysis whether you're for, against, or on the fence. You know, for a group of people to call Trump a xenophobe, you just provided a perfect example of one. Sanders would stop all trade with every other country if given the chance. That's a classic case of a xenophobe in today's global society.... Bernie points out that the trade deals in place are bad and need to be modified, rather than resort to isolationism. It's a matter of keeping companies from employing foreign labor for pennies and using tax havens. Both are critical for the implementation of some of his plans, which leads to...
I stand by my choice though, since I'm confident his policies would be a net gain Care to give examples as to why you think that? Let's use the college tuition plan as an example since we've been talking about it so much. To pay for it, he plans to implement a tax on Wall Street speculation, at a rate of 0.5% for stocks, 0.1% for bonds, and 0.005% on derivatives. Digging up what I can, market capitalization numbers for 2012 included $20 trillion from stocks, $38 trillion from bonds, and $632 trillion in derivatives. Calculating those by the proposed tax rates results in just under $170 billion.
For the sum of tution costs, I calculated 7.9 million students for public 4-year, 10.6 million for public 2-year, and 91,041 for public less than 2-year. Average costs per year for public 4-year was $10,695; for 2-year, $4,552; for less than 2-year, $6,958. Multiplying and adding the results gives a grand total of $133.7 billion. This is covered by the $170 billion, with the rest being used for work studies.
Now, arguably, the main weakness is the impact this would have on exchanges, and perhaps an increase in enrollment. The most likely outcome would be that companies would further seek tax havens and outsourcing, but by developing more effective trade deals, there wouldn't be incentive for such things. Regarding enrollment, the US already has one of the highest rates, higher than most countries that provide free public tuition, so it's not likely to see a massive shift in enrollment.
So yeah, I'm comfortable with this.
France is a perfect example of the closest thing to socialism this world has seen. How are they doing again? Oh right, economic growth is negative, overall wealth is negative, overall social welfare is stagnate. Seems like it's working to me! Can you provide more details and realistically correlate it to the US?

Free Speech also doesn't absolve you from personal responsibility and blowback unlike what so many railing against 'political correctness' believe.
Say what you want but don't be surprised if people don't like the stuff coming out of your mouth.

Yeah Liberals love free speech until it is something they do not agree with. What would have happened if that was at a bernie rally and all those people had Trump signs? Liberals would be crying like toddlers not getting candy.

I'm glad you speak for everyone. What would we do without the guy attacking strawmen.
Maybe -you- think that but I believe in being able to peacefully protest both outside a rally and inside one.
If I want to go to a Trump rally and wear a shirt that's anti-Trump, that's not an invitation to be attacked, punched or whatever people feel like passes for civility. The same goes for Trump supporters who attend a Sanders/Clinton rally. You do not *** attack protesters.
As a protester you're not allowed to interrupt the rally and if you do, expect to be escorted out. Not beaten, punched or harassed or roughed up - escorted out. Now if only Trump would stop encouraging his supporters to act like animals by stoking them.
If Sanders or Clinton have rabid supporters, they too should be putting them down. However, right now we've got one candidate playing with fire and his name is Donald J. Trump.

really, if you don't care for trump or his rhetoric, you should be campaigning for another candidate, not making a scene at one of his rallies.
should he be elected president, then it's time to protest.

It's a matter of keeping companies from employing foreign labor for pennies and using tax havens. Any attempt to try to "control" foreign labor is considered illegal under international law. The US government cannot dictate what a foreign company pays foreign workers. Nearly all of the companies who employ foreign labor for pennies are foreign companies, not domestic. The domestic companies who do employ foreign labor do so not for pennies, because domestic companies are bound by US law, and have to abide by the same law (pay minimum wage translated to US dollars, so on). Most employers who hire foreign workers pay well over minimum wage, so there's no issue there.
Long story short, what Sanders is proposing, he cannot do at all. If he understood international law, he would know that. But he is pandering to the mindless masses, like any good politician.
Let's use the college tuition plan as an example since we've been talking about it so much. To pay for it, he plans to implement a tax on Wall Street speculation, at a rate of 0.5% for stocks, 0.1% for bonds, and 0.005% on derivatives. Oh yay, another capital rates tax increase proposed. Except that it's nearly impossible to do what he plans on doing, it's a logistics nightmare.
FYI - Derivatives are taxed at ordinary rates. It is considered ordinary income, not capital income. Can you provide more details and realistically correlate it to the US? I cannot correlate it to the US because thankfully this economic system is still capitalism.
But let me tell you a little something you probably don't know: France's tax rate is 100% tax on any income over 1 million euros. You know what that does to the economy? Certainly doesn't spur investment, it drove a lot of people out of the country. Especially those who could invest into French companies. It also contributed (not the cause, but contribution to) the 10+% unemployment rate in France since that law was put into place. Not exactly something to be proud of. Spain's worse, but for other reasons.
Can I compare US and France together? Not exactly. Can I draw conclusions that French policy has made? Most certainly. It's up to you to draw your own conclusions. Hopefully you can provide sources to back up your conclusions. I have faith in you!

One of Bernie's rallys awhile ago was disrupted and the protestors even took the stage. Bernie did not repeatedly say they needed punches in the face or get as petty as a grade schooler like Trump has, (and has for far lesser offences) Those protesters weren't as violent either.
