You're a fan of government storming places of worship to grab guns*? Granted this is in France where protections are different, but these concepts are considered intrinsic rights to all, no?
* A gun, according to the article.
Right. These Muslims are just amassing guns to exercise their right to bear arms. Is that what you think?
Islamic terrorism is at war with France.

Hey remember when Carter banned visas from Iran? I sure don't, I wasn't born yet!

Hey remember when you deflected a question by citing something tangentially related?
Yes. We (or at least, I) am aware of it. Chances are maybe 4-5 people here -- if that -- actually are old enough to remember it because we were small children or not even alive, so "remembering" is out of the question.
And many founding fathers owned slaves whilst penning "all men created equal."
We understand mistakes were made. We're more concerned with not repeating them.
Edit: Hell, even the ones who are old enough probably don't. Nik was probably full swing in a quaalude binge at that point.

Blocking Iranian immigration during the hostage crisis was a mistake?
Please explain.

The entire situation was a giant cluster *** and Carter made a lot of mistakes. Good man. Meh president.
Edit: Also, while a bit of a tiny niggle, it's probably appropriate to point out that Carter banned Iranians, not "Muslims."

I don't doubt the idea that he might be aware of what he's doing and doing it all on purpose.
What I don't understand is what he gets from it. Is he really a democrat trying to boycot reps from the inside? lol
For starters he is getting a ***ton of free publicity. All his business interests have his name on them, "Trump" is not just a man running for President, it's also a name brand for a bunch of different business's. It's no different then if a guy names Pepsi or Snickers was running for President. Also he is really resonating with the middle of the road folks. Those who are tired of each side calling them bad names, "your not Republican enough" or "your not Democrat enough" and then being attacked with whichever version of political correctness that side wants to slap you around with. Today's culture, especially the left, is saturated with so much political correctness "can't hurt anyone's feelings anywhere" that many people feel stifled and unable to express themselves out of fear of losing a job or worse. The left in the USA has actually created an extremely toxic environment for the average person and it's starting to backfire. Trump just noticed that and decided to go against current political thought with his appeal. Hard core Republican absolutely hate him. Hard core Democrats hate him even more. But those of the middle variety find him humerus and can actually relate to the guy.
Here is the thing if Trump wins the Republican nomination then there is no Democrat candidate who can beat him come general election. He has no political vulnerability that they could use, no way of spinning or countering that didn't result in him looking better then they are. That is the power of simply "not giving a ***", everything just rolls right off him. Democrats are going to vote for whomever their party decides is going to progress, probably Hillary, who is virtually unelectable. Republicans are going to vote for whomever wins the nomination, which is going to be a trip watching the RNC try to manipulate and cajole it to be someone they can manipulate vs one of the many "independent-Republicans".
Anyhow lots of fun to be had by all.

There is no greater endorsement of Trump than the fact that both the left and the right absolutely hate his guts.
That's a great slogan. Trump 2016: He doesn't give a f*ck.

Oh so it's okay to discriminate against a nation, but it's some massive fault of humanity to discriminate against a religion with a unique and unparalleled relationship to violence?

The big question is: Was it to the wistful tune of Abba's 'Fernando' or P-Funk's 'Mothership Connection' playing in the background?

How unamusing that we keep witnessing that the whole historical and geopolitical reasons for the existence of the IS are consistently dismissed for a quick and uninformed "islam is violent".

Quote: “I tell you, folks, for all of you people who have complained and whined and moaned about the media over the years and how unfair they are to Republicans and how unfair that makes the whole process and ‘What are we gonna do?’ — you need to be studying Donald Trump,” the radio host continued.
Limbaugh’s comments come the day after the GOP front-runner called for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims” entering the United States. And according to Limbaugh, comments like that from Trump are less about what he believes and more about driving the media “crazy.”
“This latest ‘outrage’ from Trump is a perfect example of how he plays the media — how he knows exactly what to do and how to do it to own their attention and airtime,” Limbaugh said. “He says things that he knows will drive them crazy.”
Limbaugh did, however, claim that Americans agree “to a certain extent” with what he says and that he’s the “only one” reaching that audience.
“Then he sits back and watches — no doubt with a huge smile — the media cover what he says over and over and over and over again,” the radio host said.
According to Limbaugh, Trump has received more airtime than any other candidate currently in the 2016 race for the White House — including the Democratic field, which Limbaugh describes as the “chosen field of the media.” Trump has even doubled Democratic rival Hillary Clinton’s airtime, receiving 234 minutes and 113 minutes, respectively.
Limbaugh questioned, “Why can’t the media touch the guy?”
“He says things over and over that he knows will drive [the media] insane, and then when they go insane, he doubles down on it and drives them even crazier,” Limbaugh concluded. “He also knows that his audience is in on what he is doing.” Rush Limbaugh Has a Theory on How Donald Trump Is Actually ‘Playing’ the Media

I'd say it's a lesson to be learned, but will the nation learn from it?
Too much political correctness + too much liberalness and you will inevitably get someone on the other side, to the extreme and they will become instantly popular.
Politics requires balance and Trump is the counterweight to the past 7 years or so.

There is not a single poll right now that supports this delusional opinion. He trails Clinton in every category for the general election, he is vulnerable on every single position because he is wrong on every single position. He has no viable policy plan on anything. If he somehow wins the nomination he would not win a single swing state, no independent votes, there are even some southern states he could lose. It would indeed be a lot of fun, the Democrats would start partying the day he is nominated, just like the 2008 election.

It's not about politicl correctness what Trump said. It's outright isolationism(spiced with bigotry) that doesn't belong to the modern era. How exactly are Trump's words bigotry? Against whom?

ilegal immigration is good for nations? You do realize such is not an American problem only correct? And that South America, South Africa and Europe and I'm sure other nations as well are dealing with such? Blacks in South Africa don't want ilegal foreigners coming cuz they also bring in drugs ilegaly with them. Does that make them prejudice or concerned about the best interests of thier own nation?
I ain't even going to bother with the Muslim ordeal cuz as long as they come legaly then whatever yet Trump is entitled to have reason to speak of concern for the safety of American citizens.

It really doesn't matter if he is allowed to have a opinion, such a law isn't allowed to exist. He's basically campaigning to repeal the first amendment.
