That's the core implication of "taxes bad." There's five people brow-beating him over it, I'd rather move the conversation along than tally points.
It's just a good example of the perceived bullying of conservative ideas. They're generally not actually conservative ideas (no taxes is even radical for a libertarian) and they're generally presented in a really dumb or aggressive manner. This one was a moronic opinion presented as an insult to another poster. Hence the backlash and eventual claims of bullying or antagonizing.

This is why we have representative democracy, because the average person is too short-sighted, stupid, and emotional to make those kinds of decisions. Unfortunately, we're electing people who are exactly that as well. here people, we isolated how our society is supposed to be run and the problem with it.
Now the trick is: how to fix it, as the same people (or at least their masters) have done a great job in brainwashing the general masses to keep the status-quot.
The only people that have a shot at even trying to fix it are the tea party. That's why everyone on both sides hate them.
Two different sentences, both hilarious fantasy ***. What to laugh at more? I think the first sentence.

Hell, they have far too many of their own problems to fix (which can also be said of the democratic party), before even touching it. Once both sides can fix their ***, and talk things out, then maybe corrective action at the government level can be made. But it will take both sides to fix it.

I like how you base my education on my grammar and spelling on the internet. rofl News flash dude, its the internet nobody but people like you give a ***. Most people care about how their information and ideas are presented when they're trying to get a point across, to even a minimal standard.
You only do a disservice to yourself, showing others that you're an uneducated buffoon who can't even master grade level English.
Post people ignore it and go along to point out the many other flaws you present, but he is not wrong.

Last I checked, TP was part of the GoP, not a third party, bud. If they ran as independents, they'd be backed only by people getting farm subsidies, scared gun nuts, and Ted Nugent.

But to assert that the tea party can fix anything is ludicrous, at the least.

Define "election." Because third party candidates get elected every cycle. I imagine that you, like most people, only think the Presidential election matters and the Tea Party has the same snowball-in-a-blast-furnace probability of success as the Libertarians, Greens, and National Socialists.

Libertarian would be close, if it weren't for their fiscal and social policies, but they're so far from reality it's just sad.

He did say "group of people" rather than "separate political party," to be fair. The neo-conservatives were a breakaway sect of Democrats (shhh, don't tell the modern converts) who never set out to make a separate party but nonetheless secured a solid power base a mere 30 years after they formed their little delegation.

I'm looking forward to the next election, when republicans retake the senate and impeach obama. Or for some odd reason democrats hold the senate, take the house and civil wars insue's.
I'm up for either, will be better than wtf is going on now.

Just ignore the elitist grammar-spelling "I went to college for english" nazi. He only does that when he doesn't have an argument and needs to feel better about himself. I'd venture a guess that that's untrue. The above quote is also why we can't have nice things. Equally vitriolic.
There's nothing wrong with debate, especially between partisan lines, but the problem is that it is no longer debate but rhetoric, and that's the fault of people who don't play by the rules of discourse. Everyone violates the rules here and there, but some don't comprehend them to begin with. Civility and respect are paramount. You could ask, chicken or the egg, as far as FFXIAH is concerned and who threw the first stone, but it doesn't matter. People keep perpetuating it.
If you're phrasing liberal, democrat, republican, or conservative as an insult, you're one of the people who doesn't get it. Criticizing the larger bodies is one thing, and even factions, but broad-stroke insults are for children.

True, but in any actual election, TP will only ever be up against a democrat, and those races are so gerrymandered, one party or the other will win almost regardless, unless it's a particular type of cycle, where the races almost always go to the opposite party that most recently held the position.

It was a little more than 30 yrs ago. More like 50. Neocons broke away during Nixon and gained power in the late 90s such that they pressed Bush into service to operate as a hand-puppet for Cheney, Rove, etc. That's roughly 30 years between conception and success.
Remember: I use words rather precisely. It's all that degree-touting wonderfulness that allows me to do things I learned by reading books at the age of 7.

Lots of party breaking off and reforming has happened over the centuries. Democrats and republicans have changed names back and forth, its a mess. The best way I've found to pick a party is find what president you like best. Learn about his idea's and decisions, and go from there.
Mines George Washington btw.

Nixon was 1969-74' that's 40-45yrs ago since the migration.
Speaking of Washington what is your thought on using the Army to enforce taxes? Or are you not familiar with the Whiskey Rebellion?

Mines George Washington btw. You put an apostrophe on plurals and subtract it from possessives. That's literally the precise opposite of how it is done. If you never used an apostrophe at all, I wouldn't even mention it, but it's so distracting to see poor, defenseless punctuation be bludgeoned like that. The apostrophe is the baby seal of punctuation: not terribly important and all the more tragic for being so crassly treated.
And how about I align with the Republican party of Lincoln? Oh, right: it doesn't exist. What is the point of making political connections to fantasies? Half the reason political parties shift and change is because of what is happening in the world. Washington nor Lincoln had a nation of 300,000,000 in a planet of 7,000,000,000 spanning between two oceans, commanding the most active economy on the planet, and holding enough military might to wipe out all opposition.
Why on earth would you hitch your star to someone who, if he existed today, would be completely adrift if he tried to apply the same policy decisions to a completely different world from the one he actually operated in? The time makes the man, not the other way 'round.

Height of power: roughly 2000.
I know it has been 40+ years since Nixon. That's not the damned sentence I wrote, though. For heaven's sake, I'm not being complex here.

Can we please remove this from the front page? Every day I come onto the website, it's always a thread about "Someone did this" or "Someone did that" I hope most people read the news, but what turns into informing people, will always turn into a piss fight on the forums. As such, I think it'd be a benefit to the community and for public image of ffxiah.com that these P&R threads become excluded from being viewable from the front page.
My reasoning for this:
You see a thread where the topic gets you fired up, you go in and harmlessly post your 2 cents. Then, it proceeds to become butchered left and right and you're scared to even post a reply (I don't post there out of common sense because a conservative idea is going to be butchered ON SIGHT in this community.)
So you have people pretty much dominating the P&R thread and this website was -not made- for politics. This was designed as a site to look for items and guides for players, and should reflect as such to the public eye.
To answer coming questions about what about the people who want to?
You can search for the threads, everyone looking for a guide has to look for one, so it's no big deal to look at "Everything Else-Politics and Religion" to find your dose of politics and banter.
That's my suggestion, remove P&R from being viewed from xiah's front page -PLEASE-
