Anyone Dealing 500+ Damage With Dnc.

was interested in finding out if anyone is breaking the 500 damage per hit with dancer. I find myself capping out at around 494. just can't seem to break 500. i have no rem weapons adoulin weapons or gear. sparks gear and eminent dagger+aluh jambiya.

people with the a fore mentioned gear that you do not have, are breaking that easily vs lots of adoulin mobs... of course it always depends on the content you are referring to...

I struggled to hit 500+ in Adoulin with eminent dagger and espial gear when I first came back. What are you trying to achieve? If you're looking to farm easy sparks then abyssea is most likely your best option, provided you have crit atmas. You wont get credit for xp kill trials, but the increase to your crit rate and damage will more than make up for that, and should push you well into the 500+ crit range. I was able to farm enough sparks there to get me started pretty quickly on DNC, using cruor buffs, Razed Ruin, Gnarled Horn and Voracious Violet (for +50STR, DA and regain), and occasional Aeolian Edges against groups of mobs.

Improving your dagger will help too. As long as people on your server run Wildskeeper Reives fairly often Atoyac is fairly easy to get compared to other high ilevel daggers (unless you're unlucky with drops - both my characters and my friend got one each within 3 kills so I doubt it's terribly rare), is soloable (you can't fight it alone, but you can just join in the event if you see a shout and have the entry item, no need to join a party), and it deals a fair chunk more damage per hit that the eminent dagger. Having a high damage dagger in each hand will also increase the number of big crits you land vs small, naturally.

in abyssea its not too hard. however outside you are dealing with one of the weakest weapons in an attempt to try and do 500+. Likely you are looking for a way to do both 500+ and 200 kills spark farming. Adoulin is not be best place for this. Also its better to gather tons of mobs using evasion gear and use Aeolian Edge to just barely do 500 damage and get 10s of hits on the 500+ not to mention killing dozens of mobs at once to repop quicker.

fight birds, they take extra piercing damage. the vultures outside tav will net you Sparks but not cp, sadly.

Could also give Balayangs a try in Fei'Yin. Since bats are in the bird family, they're weak to piercing damage also. There's plenty of them around, and they do give CP.

might as well do butterflies in ceizak if cp is a concern, just stun blackout.

If you have Atma of the Razed Ruins you should hit and Crit 500+ very easily in Abyssea even with a pre-SOA dagger

As far as I know, the only time you need to deal 500+ damage is if you are farming sparks. That being the case, who cares if they are experience-yielding or not? You will gain sparks faster by just focusing on 500+ hits in Abyssea than you will trying to get multiple types of RoE quests outside Abyssea.

If you're just doing something else and want some sparks while you're doing it, then getting some better gear (or just eating attack food) will get you there if you're already at 494.
