hasso enhancement is always better, just like you would have used unkai haidate +2 over calmecac back in the day.
pls add q&a in the first line of the guide addressing this
Not only are they listed in the ALL the optimal sets, they and Unkai Haidate are listed under Hasso and the effect explained. If people ask without reading the OP, how is having another line in the OP they didn't read going to help?
good point, it's as if people come in here without realizing that the current best sets are spoonfed to you
I added the item descriptions and an excerpt under every job ability a few months ago to more clearly explain what JA's do and what the related gear does for them. I realize we're 40 pages into this thread and a lot of people are taking up SAM because it's so powerful at this point.
For things like Unkai Sune-Ate +2 when using Sengikori, I can see wondering if the SC bonus is worth the massive loss in stats over iLVL feet. But, an ability so central to SAM like Hasso and the availability of the information, there really is no excuse for not reading the OP or even the Hasso page on the Wiki's.
Completely agree Jassik, but for arguement's sake ~ lets explain WHY 2% HASTE IS SO IMPORTANT! In case this is why they don't get it.
So Assuming max buffs:
Magic haste cap 43.75% (448/1024)
Gear Haste (capped) 25% (256/1024)
JA posible: 25% (256/1024) Hasso adds 10%
So~
78.75% ~ So you are essentially 1.25% from cap. The common mis conception is that 1.25% Haste is 1.25% DPS increase. Well this is Categorically wrong.
You have to realise you are attacking at almost 5th of your normal delay which is nearly 5 times your normal attack speed.
So you do 100-78.75 (21.25) then work out what 1.25 / 21.25 is x100 and that's your actual increase in attack speed ~ which is 5.88% increase in attack speed (to 2 Decimal Place) not to mention that hasso provides 10 STR normally (20 is Capped Job Points but assuming you are a new sam as you don't know how hasso works lets go with 10.) These gloves also add +2 STR which isn't a Huge bonus at this point but do add a small increase to fSTR to TP Phase.
Sited here~
Quote:
Haste - Increase in Attack Rounds
00% - 00.00%
05% - 05.26%
10% - 11.11% (Marches: Advancing: ~9%, Victory: ~12.5%, with a +2 Instrument)
15% - 17.65% (Haste Spell)
20% - 25.00% (2x Marches ~21.5%)
25% - 33.33% (Cap on Gear or Ability Haste)
30% - 42.86%
35% - 53.85%
40% - 66.67%
45% - 81.82% (Roughly the cap on Haste given by Magic/Songs ~43.75%)
50% - 100.0% (Maximum recast reduction)
55% - 122.2%
60% - 150.0%
65% - 185.7%
70% - 233.3%
75% - 300.0%
80% - 400.0% (Maximum weapon delay reduction in FFXI)
It should be noted Haste does not affect WS's so you should stack STR / WSD / Attack / STP / Save TP / DA (Not in that order as it's individual to each WS)
Also, this link shows that Haste recast reduction is capped at 50% which is incorrect its 20% not including JA and specialised gear (IE Scholar Alacrity Feet)
