The thing you're missing is that Fudo got a far larger boost last update than Namas did, surpassing Namas in capped attack situations. Apex is crap but you can still use Yoichi when you will benefit from piercing bonus.
As for COR rolls, fighter's isn't going to be the best second roll option for a lot of job combos now.
That set is fine, Steelflash and Bladeborn work as a replacement to Trux. Kappa can beat jse if you don't have a COR and are 4 hitting. Pole grip is obvious downgrade on Duplus.

been reading the past few posts;
so the update was supposed to open up greater use of varied ws's, instead, according to the poster above, the only ws sam should be using now is FUDO. so with the update we lose kaiten, namas, and shoha! why SE, why?! Kaiten was never worth using over fudo, no one tested 2000and 3000tp shoha as far as I know so it might still be usefull

needs to be some solid testing to see if thats true still. just doing some random killing on easy prey mobs in morimar, i get kaiten and fudo about the same dmg at 100tp, so either works. overflow tp fudo hits some crazy no.s eventually i'll get around to spreadsheeting for a better idea of what to use; i'll proly wait for the nerf to fudo though. at 100 exact tp it was before update(but to be fair, how often are you wsing at 100tp exactly?).
Now since update, event at 100 exact tp fudo is better because tp bonus moonshade exist. Since I asked the same thing upthread, I will point out that even if that's true, the fact that Kaiten has no fTP scaling on damage makes it irrelevant. How often do you WS at 100 TP on SAM? Do you not have a TP Bonus Moonshade?

what planet do you live on where Kaiten is better than Fudo? and when the hell would you use Amano over Koga?....this makes literally 0 sense. only time you would use Amano over Koga, is if you didn't have Koga lol. anyways i see fudo beating the caca out of kaiten but w/e.

I've basically been using fudo if I ever get an extra hit off before I can ws at 100, which is an awful lot, tp overflow is/has always been a thing on sam >.>
