Do You Window?

Windower is illegal under the Terms of Service. FFXIAH.com is illegal under the Terms of Service. So is Allakhazam, so is Killing Ifrit, so is using any site, tool, or program not written by SquareEnix that decompiles, references, or in any way republishes any of SquareEnix's intellectual copyright, including any and all item, character, or mission data. Even posting screenshots is against the Terms of Service, unless taken via the in-game screenshot feature which watermarks SE's copyright over the top. Writing any fan fiction, derivative works, roleplaying, etc, is all against the Terms of Service. Letting any other player log into your account, ever, for any reason, is a violation of the Terms of Service.

I could go on. The point is, every single one of you, everyone, is or has violated the ToS at some point. Not a single one of you, especially none of you posting on this site (read: especially Luignata), has any right whatsoever to accuse any other user of "breaking the rules." Period.

The only thing that matters is money. SquareEnix reserves the right to ban you for a ToS violation, but they are not required to, and they won't waste their time (or money) enforcing it unless it makes business sense to do so. In other words, the only thing that matters is if a particular 3rd party utility is causing more people to quit the game than continue playing it. It is the duty of 3rd party developers, and users of 3rd party tools alike, to not make SE lose money.

Nobody cares, and neither does SE. Go whine somewhere else.

The fear of banning has caused me to use the windower sparingly. The fear has lowered over the years as more people use it.

There's really no reason for anyone to get so uppity over this. It's quite simple really: If you use it, fine. If you're skeptical, try it (you can always delete it if it's not your cup of tea). If you hate it and think it's cheating, STFU. Nobody deserves to be alienated by someone else's self-absorbed, arrogant, moral high-horse riding ***.

been running it for 4 years,the only ppl that know i actively use windower are in my vent channel, and every single of them use it too, cept for the ps3 user running vent via his laptop lol

bad graphics
no plug-ins D:<
no spellcast for all my .xml macros, limit to 6 lines on RDM and BLM, fail
no distance for kite soloing on rdm
no infobar for knowing what aggros and what they aggro too
no treasure pool profiles for certain areas
no expwatch for quick tnl access
no recast/buff/food timers
no .dat swapped in game maps
no timestamp for afk NM ToD's

I find it a waste of time trying to defend using something not native to the game, and expecting all people to agree that it's ok.

Doesn't matter how many people use it, it's still something third-party made. Enough trying to justify it lol.

Easiest thing is to just start being honest and say "I have an advantage over some". Personally, I enjoy smart work instead of hard work (the plugins).
