My advise: wait til you play for at least 20-25 hours before making comments. Look at Xenosaga, it was linear like FFXIII but it got praised instead of shunned.
People are so gullible. A game doesn't need cities to be a good game. Actually, no cities means no wandering around wondering wtf to do next.
People don't even realize how beautiful FFXIII's music is, how awesome it is that you don't have to farm gil for potions and ethers (you heal after every battle) how beautiful the storyline is (i mean for christ sake, SHIVA IS A MOTORCYCLE! freaking epic win!) and other GOOD things about it instead of bitching about "IT HAS NO CITIES" or "IT'S TOO LINEAR" people are stupid enough to listen to other's negative comments instead of trying the actual game themselves.

Kelvin: besides, cities would've been too much work. When they started FFXIII, it was supposed to be on PS2. Then Sony was like "PS3 NOW!" and they went through each thing and made it look better then microsoft's like "can we has it too?" and they had to cut down because if they didn't 360 would've been 20 discs instead of i think it's 3-4 now. So they had to cut down on things and still had to cut down on things for the 360 version, seeing as Xbox 360 has 18GB and PS3 has 38GB of disc space.
and yet Square got shunned because they wanted to put out FFXIII before FFXIV (i mean it's been at least 4 years since XII came out) and they wanna start working on FFXV.
No offence to 360 users but S-E should've said "no" to microsoft and left things as is and said that unless microsoft makes a hardware where it's a blu-ray player so they could use that (like FFXI on PS2)

The FFXIII team didn't make other games in the meantime. Show me proof of their names being in the end credits of other games between the time of 12's release and 13's jp release. S-E is a huge company with many dev teams. It's not just one group of people working on all the games (it'd be too stressful)

I liked FFVII =O It's my favorite FF. I enjoyed X as well. It'd be fantastic if you didn't use general statements like that as basis for an argument to make it seem like a bad thing. Opinions are opinions.

FF2 was fun. FF9 is my fav ff game of all time (1 player). the story just ruled, gameplay was great, music was just awesome, everything was perfect.

btw you do realize you run through cities all the time on ffxiii? Even the intro. you run thru the city escaping like in FF7's intro.

Celene(F) and Rowland(M) are more of the shyer members, but often say things that are witty, have a good pun and sometimes cause three page discussions. Celene hates when people hit on her. It doesn't stop them from trying.
Krizz is just social and likes to kill time here during work Tbest is about the same, except tends to be a douche to guys and affectionate toward girls.
Alyria is the most social female, gets groped a lot without provoking it by others, and Tairo ends up stabbing people for it. Cai is just a barrel of lols, I might be gay for him. If I wasn't straight.
Not sure about Citag, s/he's new. Kiriyu is just an in-out kinda person. Says one thing every three days that every guy makes a big fuss over. Ludoggy gets really defensive since she's asian and underage (might be 18 now).
