I liked the story, and playing blitz ball in the first game, only thing that pissed me off in x-2 was them ruining blitz ball. Square is no long square actually after that merger and such :(. It sucked big time, but stuff gets put out. I see no problem with games released.
Star ocean, ff, dragon quest, kingdom heart series, they are all there for me to play. Oh and suikoden even though that is not square.. I enjoyed xenogears also from square. I listen to rap, but does that mean I like it? Rap music is not the same as video games :C. Each final fantasy is different, it is bound to people not liking it. See suikoden is a different case, if you have ever played suikoden it takes place in on the same planet and same countries. only 600 years have passed in the whole series in spin offs, and manga's. with Final Fantasy, different alternate universes, new characters, new plot, and it can get dull fast. But not like I see what you are saying, quality did not stop in final fantasy, it is story. With out story you can not play a game well, but to tell you the truth, I play games people would not (rpg's included) I see no problem. I am an rpg fan, and a casual gamer, mainly play these games. edit i usually hate music like rap, I should be more ino it.... i rather listen to japanese pop sensation singers and anime music over rap ;x would not mind a ds remake of 6 to be honest.
