Prequel: A few weeks ago I was feeling a bit bored/lonely. Maybe it was from the cold weather or the winter holidays. I decided that it was time to try my hand at online dating again. Never had good luck in the past but with 2017 around the corner, I'd thought to test my luck and see what adventure awaits me. Ended up liking a ton of different people and about a week or so ago decided to message everyone and see if I got any responses. Was hoping to get some responses by playing the statistics game. I ended up getting quite a few responses which I was quite surprised. There one was person though in which we had a lot of back 'n forth communication. As the days past and the weekended neared I decided to ask if she wanted to go out on a date to which she said yes.

The Date: With instruction to pick her up at her place of work I ended up about 40min early. I blame being lucky and hitting all green lights and there was minimal traffic. About 15 past 6 she walked out and we greeted each other. She was like "so...nice to officially meet you, do we shake hands? or hug?" in which I responded by saying...err why not both? So we did a bro hug. Shortly after we hopped into the car and headed to our destination. We talked about first meeting jitters and small talked a little bit. Talked mostly about favorite types of food and drinks and how long she's been living in the city. Ended up taking her to an 'Alice in Wonderland' themed restaurant. Sat down, she ordered appetizers and I ordered a steak ~ we basically shared everything. We talked about all sorts of things from her huge interests in theater arts / dancing / cosplay. Talked a little bit about her education, adult goals and fun goals for 2017. Talking was a little bit one sided with her talking the most but the conversation flowed pretty well I thought. She had this semi awkward/straight forward approach to asking questions. At one point she asked why I was single and what sort of crazy am I hiding. There was a lot of inner chuckling. After lot of talking and Q/A and us splitting the bill (was her idea to go dutch) she said "So conclusion, do we call it? to which I responded to something along the lines of that we could or we could go somewhere else and get something warm to drink (was in the low 30s/upper 20s last night). So she suggested going to this one little trendy tea/cafe shop. We drove over there, talking more about her time in college. Supposedly she was the mom for slytherin house in her harry potter themed club at college. After about 20 or so minutes of driving we finally get to the place. Ended up ordering two pots of different teas. At one point I had to go to the restroom and when I returned to the table she was like "i ordered surprise" ~ ended up being a small little cup of chocolate mousse which tasted really good. We continued to talk, she really got into talking about role playing (like online forum/ play by post). She seems to be really big into DC comics, and some games like Dragon Age. So we talked about that for a little while. Had some nice quiet moments. The cafe "closes" at 10, but we ended up staying to like 10:30 (we were the last ones in there) to which we apologized for staying late. ~ Decided to call it a night and drove her home. She said she really enjoyed the night and it was one of the best dates she's been on. We hugged each other goodbye and before walked away to the front door she asked me to text her when I got back home, to know that I returned safely back. ~ Drove back home, messaged her and she quickly responded by saying she really did have fun and that she doesn't know what the future holds but she knows the night was lovely.

So I'm gonna see if she wants to go on a second date and plan what to do next.
Also I didn't ask her about the dodo / investing thing as I was trying to verify the investor. But i will for sure if they qualify.
