Anyway, hope all of you Nintendudes had a nice weekend. I saw Deadpool on Saturday, thoroughly enjoyed it. Walking Dead was good last night. I think I'm finally done coughing up phlegm from last week's illness so that's nice.

nik. come to my house. my heat pump keeps blowing even if i set the thermostat to off. a guy i know said it doesn't use a lot of power or mess with the motor, and it should actually be good for the air flow. however, if i set that *** off i don't want cool air blowing i want it off!

Sounds like what you have is a faulty sequencer. Mmhmm. Easy fix, fairly cheap. Mmmhmm. Or perhaps it's the uh thermostat. Possibly the breaker. In my unprofessional opinion, I suggest you burn down and start over from scratch.

Some thermostats have a 'fan on/off' setting, look for that.
It only has auto and on. I turned it off at the power breaker then back on and it stopped. Annoying doe

The "heat pump" thing is throwing me a little there are three basic components the condensing unit - outside the air handler - blows the air around the house the heat exchange - either gas or electric a heat pump is basically ac running backwards powered by the condensing unit outside which should run until the condenser is cool if the air handler unit is the thing not turning off it is probably the relay switch. the schematic for the air handler is typically glued to the inside the door of the unit. *CAUTION* REMOVING THE DOOR TO THE FURNACE / AIR HANDLER EXPOSES YOU TO VOLTAGES THAT CAN INSTANTLY CHANGE YOUR NICKNAME TO BACONBOY THE CRISPY CRITTER
