In unrelated commentary, everyone in the family knows when I'm the one who wrapped something.

Why can't they just make both sides of the nice wrapping paper the same so it's less obvious that I can't wrap things and line up edges for ***?
Do you suck at folding laundry or making the bed too?

They are basically the same concepts

I can functionally fold laundry. Make beds. And even wrap things.

But functional isn't always pretty.

It's just that with "nice" wrapping paper it's one-sided, so I end up having to trim off stupid little white parts because things didn't line up correctly.

Edit: also, frequently my teeth are involved in folding clothes. Which is probably not Emily Post-approved, but I give a ***about some stuck-up dead woman.

You could use your chin..

I learned how to wrap presents and fold from my seamstress grandmother. She had very specific requirements that are not always met in my house.

Bows though....I'm not a big fan of making complicated bows

I don't have a chin. I have a complete and utter lack of chin or anything that resembles a jaw line.

I trimmed my beard this weekend and immediately regretted it because now it follows my face's utter lack of contour.

We actually celebrated chinese wednesday today. I made a large batch of twice cooked pork to freeze most for later. It was pretty good, but I think I'll add more schezuan pepper next time.

I want more tingle on the lips ..:o

I finished putting together the kids toys, now I just have to wrap some other gifts tomorrow. So...I'm having a glass of wine and then going to bed!

How is everyone?

I'm very jealous of today's flashlights. I was like 14 before I owned a Maglite, and those were the only worthwhile flashlights back in the day.

LEDs have changed the course of portable illumination!

That hits close to home. Funniest thing I've seen on here in weeks!

Also, in case you didn't know, extreme hammocking is "a thing". He's getting a hammock among other things for Christmas. Live Oak hammocking is the MOST EXTREME!!!

Good morning.

You all should know that doctors (MDs, that is), no matter how wonderful they may be as people -- and in many cases they are -- are at times some of the most irritating people in the world to work with administratively.

Is the chloroform around here somewhere?

Fixed. Sorry, didn't pay close enough attention. I had begun consuming coffee but it hadn't hit the uptake yet.

Sonic? Isn't that the rebranded Aveo?

Just pop another out of the six-pack and be on your way
