I have an Excalibur character anyway, from 1.0, and I occasionally have to log in to check things, might as well log in there.

Every single person in the LS any invite privs so anyone on Excalibur that is in the LS lol

Having a proper group to level the old way and possibly get murdered horribly because I decide to be a derp just seems too perfect.

There are over 120 characters in the LS but not everyone logs on anymore and some are alts but we have maybe 50 people who regularly get on, some of them are randoms from Vyre's 2 FCs though

Yes. I've actually been struggling a bit the last week or so to get some stragglers from my old ffxi crew onto the server but as of right now we're just missing one for the old crew to be back together and I'm starting to love the game again. :)

so I was visiting from friends on the east coast. Upon leaving after a fun weekend, my plane is scheduled to depart at 6:20pm.
I arrive at the airport at 4:20pm so I'm thinking I have plenty of time. The checkin bag guy looks up my flights on the system and is like.. "bro you're not going to make your flight"
me: "what do you mean I'm not going to make my flight?"
guy: "You're not going to make your connection flight, come with me"

So I'm highly confused as what's going on because I have at least a 2 hour gap between my landing and my connection flight to come back home to Austin. So the guy takes me to special services and the lady there is all like...
"You're not going to make your connection flight. Your departing flight is scheduled at 7:02pm so you'll be missing your flight."
me: "okay... is there any other flight available?"

She just hands me a ticket after checking my bag and says my flight is now at 4:45pm, you better hurry.

So I'm like WTF its 4:30~ So I'm sorta panicking as I run all the way down the causeway to the security line. Became a douche to everyone in line as I skipped to the front. Went through the security then ran all the way down the terminal. My gate was at the very end.
I get to the gate and it says 'delayed till 5:07pm" ~ So now I'm recovering my breath and relaxing since I have time. Plane docks with the gate then all of a sudden it says 'Flight delayed till 9:00pm"
So I'm like ***....how am I going to make my connecting flight. So I'm in the middle of a conversation with the ticket person at the gate booth and I hear my name on the intercomm. I walk over to that gate and they redirect me to fly through detroit then to ATX. So I'm like alright cool.
Plane doesn't leave for another 15min after I board. I fly to detroit, pickup my return ticket to Austin. Then I start questioning about my luggage. They said it may be on the flight but its not in the system at the moment. So I'm not entirely worried since I have my keys, wallet & phone with me. I fly back to ATX then I wait at the baggage pickup area.
My bag isn't there.
I talk with the baggage claim services guy and he says my bag is still at the original airport...
I ask if it could be delivered to my house and he's like "nope because you checked your bag in as late. so you have to come by here tomorrow to pick it up."

So I said ok fine~ didn't want to get into an argument and left with my friend who picked me up.
So now I gotta drive to the airport today (hopefully) and pickup my stuff. :|

never again flying delta ( at least on return trips). The flights over to start my vacation were great...dunno why everything sucked coming home

The boy has me out paced. must quit smoking. or drop back to 3-4 a day. if I don't start getting mean & limber again, he's going to best me in a few short years. the way months fly by anymore that could be tomorrow, & I'll be caught totally unawares. this life is strange.

Should try and stop smoking completely, saves you a ton of money in the long run and the smoke smells like ***lol

I understand completely why people smoke. 100%. Even knowing the risks.

That said, I sit next to a 60-something year-old-woman who smoked for like 40 years and quit about two years ago, which was about 10-15 years too late to avoid COPD for the rest of her life.

Listening to her hack up a lung every hour on the hour, combined with the fact I deal with a lot of the other various types of "endgame" smoking complications via work...

...I can't even enjoy a cigar anymore. It's completely ruined it for me.

Somehow this same transference hasn't occurred with drinking yet, at least not on a not-doing-it-at-all scale. But I still drink a lot less than I used to, and I can't say as I feel really bad about that.
