Comcast contractor was scheduled to make an on-site survey between 8:15 and 9:00 for our new location.
So I get to the site at 8:15. 8:55 am, get a call on my cell that his last appointment ran long and he'll be there in 10 min. No biggie, it happens. Survey takes about half an hour because we had to find the entrance point for the cable which ended up being on the roof. Get back to the office around 9:35.
Got paid to literally drink coffee and walk around. Not a bad start to a Friday. Plus if I decide to stay until 5 today, that's 45 min of overtime. Not bad.

Monday, my window was 10:30 - 11:00. He showed up at 10:50, and then had to schedule for Tuesday to come back to run a new line. He told me I didn't even have to be there as it was all outdoor work. Tuesday he was put on a special assignment so he couldn't do it (since he knew what was going on, he didn't want to send a different tech out), came back Wednesday to run a temp line, all went well. Thursday I come home from work and the line was already buried. I was pleased with how it all went. I've had nothing but headaches with Comcast in the past, and TWC in the present. Our internet goes down at 11:55PM EVERYDAY for about 10 minutes. It's a pretty minor inconvenience, but TWC says they have no idea what could cause it. I don't know, see what maintenance operations are scheduled to take place around midnight daily? It's a line failure, neighbors have the same issue. I have 2 servers, 2 desktops, 3 laptops, a tablet, and a couple consoles and micro-computers. It's most definitely something on TWC's end.

We don't have digital cable service, only basic because it's cheaper as a bundle than just internet. I don't think I even have a TV connected to the cable right now since I put in the micro-computers. It's little more than an annoyance, I have the server bridged to my 4G modem, so I don't lose connectivity on anything important. It's just a ridiculous problem for a company with TWC's resources.
