it's the best getting old mag!
the secret of happiness is.
Fall in love with all things you hate.
Embrace them and make them a part of you.
I love being sick. It helps me appreciate good health.
When I was uncontrollably projectile vomiting a lot (long story), rather than curl up next to the toilet and weep like a love starved puppy. I went outside and threw up on things as if it was my super power.
This is all the life you are ever going to get. Learn to love and enjoy and appreciate it.
Unless you love feeling sorry for yourself and complaining, then never mind and keep doing that...

In my fantasy...He's an escaped nazi war criminal on the run from the mossad.... so he only has time to communicate with us in between daring escapes out of the windows of skyscrapers wearing a wingman suit...
which is really hard at his advanced age....

It's quite similar to the world everyone else lives in except it's completely distorted by insanity...

WTF ARE WE DOING FOR LUNCH TODAY NI?!?!? Friend's gf made lasagna last night from scratch, even made her own noodles. He brought some in for me. Lunch is going to be glorious.
I believe a beer will exchange hands for this at some point.

When did you two move to Denmark?
It's understandable that lack of immersion would take effect.

I've read great things about Denmark. Do you enjoy living there? Quite, apart from being a long way from family. Except funnily enough I've actually been able to spend more time with my family in the timespan since moving here than the timespan since leaving the house.
There's a hell of a lot of difference between having two weeks a year for vacation, a good portion of which can be blacked out due to programs or limited in the duration you could take at once, rather than six weeks.

If you don't mind me asking, how difficult was the transition? Such as paperwork and such that is required.
Just curious... Also I'm not entirely attached to Uncle Sam.

Just curious... Also I'm not entirely attached to Uncle Sam. Both easy and difficult at the same time. The paperwork was straightforward (http://www.nyidanmark.dk/en-us/coming_to_dk/work/work.htm) and easy to fill out and process. Looking at that site today, there are significantly more options for immigration than there were back in 2008.
You'll be monitored while here, and subject to periodic checks where you will need to send in the last three months of paystub-equivalent to the auditing agency to check for compliance with your contract (attempting to ensure that a bait-and-switch isn't being done).
The way of life is significantly different. If you have an expectation to live an American lifestyle (large house, car, eat out often), you won't be very happy.
On the other hand, if you are OK with having a normal-size house, biking or taking transit (or owning a small car), and only eating out as a treat, then you will probably do just fine.
Single income family is not the norm, and it is not easy to do. Both men and women are expected to actively be part of the labor market.
Most people seem to take a while to get used to the Danes' sense of humor, but if you enjoy British humor/dry humor, you won't have an issue.

One hears in the States about the glamor of European restaurants all the time. Granted, Denmark is but a small part of Europe, but how infrequent is eating out? It rather sounds like restaurants would struggle to stay in business. I've certainly watched dozens of them try and fail here in the States for lack of sufficient custom.

When you don't have kids, it would dpend on how much of your budget you would like to spend and where you would like to go.
If you have kids (I know you don't, general you) it does not happen frequently as most restaurants are not kid friendly. Cafes, sure. Especially with outdoor seating.
We probably ate out at sit down restaurants (not including stops at cafes) 2-3 a month on average, but it really depends on the time of year. Summer time is all about the BBQ outside with friends. Dining is also an event over a few hours, depending on where you go.
There are some great restaurants in the EU (Noma has been ranked number 1 in the world a couple of times). However, sometimes finding good Asian food can be a challenge where we live.

Depends on the people really, but probably no more frequent than once a week, more likely once a month.
Now, by eating out, that isn't going to pick up a kebab or a slice of pizza and a coke(about 5-10USD/person), but sitting down at a cafe or restaurant. A brunch (coffee + food) would be about 20-25USD/person, unless during weekday mornings, where it would be about 12-15. A latte from a coffe shop will be about 5-8USD. For us to go to our normal place to get a nice well done burger and a beer, ends up usually being 30USD/person.
Our favorite place to get sushi usually would end up as 50-60USD/person.
But restaurants here aren't turn and burn, and prices are inclusive of tax(25%) and tip.

Since we all can't be on the same linkshell in game, this can be our cross server linkshell thread.
Like most linkshells, it can be pretty dead at times. Other times it's full of intense conversations about either rl, gear, goals, pokemon or anything else you want to contribute.
We can cover any sort of topic at all, within reason of the forum rules. No real main topic, just a bunch of FFXIAH friends/people coming on and discussing random things.

Update: Sorry Eternaltriumph, too much has changed D: (Page 698)
Eternaltriumph said: Yeah Chuu. Bringing you up to speed, Ludoggy is the LS pedophile. I'm the fountain of random and useless knowledge that makes you go "Hrm" with the occasional side of "holy shit he said what?"
Kungfu is the LS nutjob, spouting super random things that are usually sexist, until Savvy or Alyria comes into the room. Then he's a classic case of sexual harrassment. Rumaha is also true to the second part; we're wondering about his sexuality though.
Daj is Ludoggy's gay lover. Not much else is known about this Asuran. Tairo is kinda new, but since is a female and Alyria's lesbian lover, she fit right in real quick.
Celene(F) and Rowland(M) are more of the shyer members, but often say things that are witty, have a good pun and sometimes cause three page discussions. Celene hates when people hit on her. It doesn't stop them from trying.
Krizz is just social and likes to kill time here during work Tbest is about the same, except tends to be a douche to guys and affectionate toward girls.
Alyria is the most social female, gets groped a lot without provoking it by others, and Tairo ends up stabbing people for it. Cai is just a barrel of lols, I might be gay for him. If I wasn't straight.
Not sure about Citag, s/he's new. Kiriyu is just an in-out kinda person. Says one thing every three days that every guy makes a big fuss over. Ludoggy gets really defensive since she's asian and underage (might be 18 now).
Artem is the wayward soul that makes you ponder the meaning of life by constantly reminding us life can suck. But he deals, and so do we. About the same for Savannah, except people are more "AWH!" to her because of a vagina involved.
Dasva is the ex military man (as is Krizz but this doesn't apply to him) who hates the world and plots a way to destroy most of it.
Number2 is kinda like a mix between Cai and I; never bashes, likes to laugh and has odd avatars. His current suits a lot of the convos this LS gets into. Barti is most well known for his moustache. He gives mousatche rides for a fee. I'm missing a few people but whatever. CARRY ON!
