Lol ohhh no dear. This bid, mind u in remember staying till 10 the night before to pull out of my ***, was well in budget and I have not missed a thing yet on drawings. The GC did *** me on 30k cuz the PM wants to have balls when he said we were that much over one of our competitors (which that owner used to run the division our company was inside of another GC). Find out later they didn't bid the right spec of trim (surprise surprise) so when he wanted VE trim I didn't give it all back n got 40k in savings. So I am up 10k already. 3 weeks ago I revised my base count n saved another like 12k in material and labor since I winged it night before.....sucka! Wait....I lost the point of this...

Mos and I have both bitched about the bid system on here. I'm always weary of GCs that win the bid that don't come close to the average that the rest presented. In my experience, sometimes GCs don't care about the craftsmanship, so they'll place blame on their subs when they initially fiddled with the numbers to win the bid. Sounds like your GC might be one of those douches, unfortunately. I hope they won't sue your company.

upon further reflection I think 2004 will be forever remembered by me as:

stupid walgreens n.p.
had to leave work early cause my head was hurting so bad. i know it's a sinus infecton. i had spent my free time looking up exactly what hurt and why to try and combat it myself. i go to the little quick clinic at walgreens since i didn't wanna do a doctor visit just to get antibiotics. spent 30 mins telling the girl, it's definitely my sinuses. she was convinced i was having a bad tooth ache. she almost didn't write me a presciption, but ended up saying, "it couldn't hurt". ONE antibiotic and one nap later no face pain. /joy. i felt bad telling that np how to do her job, but she was dead *** wrong. it's easy to misdiagnose a toothache and sinus problems with each other, but if every tooth on one side and my eye ball hurts. pretty sure it's the sinus that sits between them.

I know your pain hev. for the last 10 months those useless *** have been treating me for allergies after I've told them from day 1, and every day since, that it's not allergies, the dentist *** something up in my head. well this went on throughout my wifes' pregnancy, son's birth, new year, ect. ect. well before I flew to vegas I was all panicy because I thought my head would *** explode on an airplane (ears have been stuffed pretty bad on & off) and went to a different doc across town. this fantastic specimen of a human being says "what? they've treated you for allergies for 10 months after you told them exactly what was wrong with you?? that's borderline malpractice." he then proceeds to x-ray my head, & says, "O ya, see that? that's some kind of infection, cyst, bacteria, or cancer right in that sinus cavity" so in 15-20mins this guy got to some kind of diagnosis, when those other clowns just slapped me on the ***, took my 25$, and didn't even give me a kiss as they *** me for 10 months. so ya.... maybe people with IQ's over 40 should get some *** perferential treatment.............. RRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I should post that in that grinds your gears thread for liels.

This jerk from Comcast's Xfinity ( http://xfinity.comcast.net/ ) tried to get us to change from what we have to them. We had Comcast before, and it was sooooooo bad. So I told them politely that we're not interested. What? He's not stopping. He must've not heard me. "I'm sorry, we're not interested." He's asking me questions now. "...We. Are. Not. Interested." him: "You're probably overpaying by hundreds.." "WE ARE NOT INTERESTED." him: "What cable company are you on right now?" *in a very annoyed voice* "We're not interested and if you don't stop, I'll call the police." he then finally proceeds to shut up and walk away. I wasn't even sure if I could call the cops on him for that, I just said it so he would go away. Urgh. |
