That's not nearly as bad as you might think it is. I could see that being an epic. Thank you Mag. It means a lot coming from our resident English junkie. Dude, I'm jonesin' here. I need a quick fix. C'mon, just one copy of Wuthering Heights... You know I'm good for it.
Honestly though, you've got a good flow, there. The last line could use some work, but it's got potential. <.<

We never met!
I keep saying I'm going to start writing another story and I just never do it! I need to just sit down and start spewing out words one night. I think the hardest part is starting! For me it's continuing. I'll start a story, get really into it and write up a bunch. Then I'll hit a wall and tell myself that I'll get back to it later. I never get back to it. I've been trying to get back into this one story I started writing, but it's tough. I think I need to stop being lazy and type up another page or two. Discipline is the root of this problem. I have that problem too. Well I think I lose my focus, really. I start going off on tangents and lose focus of where the story was going, then I decide it's not worth it to try to salvage! I call it Chronicles Syndrome. Yeah, exactly like that. I have ADD and most of my characters do too. I find that if you don't go off on those digressions though that it doesn't feel as lifelike. You could write up something like:
I walked to the store to get a pack of baseball cards.
But it doesn't work quite as well as:
While walking to the store to get a pack of baseball cards, I came across an old creek and for a moment thought back to the time where my friend and I went fishing.
It sort of sets up your character with more development, etc. However, you do get caught up in those moments and lose track of where you're going with it. I suppose in those moments an outline would help, but... well, who does those anyway? As I read Mag's post, my mind began to wander back to the days of the Banana War. The fighting was fierce, and the enemy was tough as nails. Many lives were lost, on both sides. Fruit and men alike, fighting tooth and peel. It was a gruesome sight to behold. I watched friends, family, and breakfasts die before my very eyes.

My daughter is funny. (6y/o) when we told her that her mother was pregnant, her response:
"Dad, if it's born, & it's a fruit baby, I'm gonna eat it."

If you're bored you could always read it. I feel it's more of a ffxi fanfic though at this point. Also, I'm doing so as we speak. I'm up to the part where Spence joins the party.

What's the difference between Home/Renter's Insurance and an Umbrella policy? An umbrella policy is just extra... so say you get 20,000 worth of coverage for 50 a month... and you want some more protection so you get an umbrella policy that will cover you for 50,000 for 25 a month... so once the 20,000 from your orignal policy runs out the umbrella will take over...
I looked it up. It's means if you get sued, you won't have to pay as much. Technically yes because you would have more coverage available lol... but you would also be paying for another policy...

Orly... Let's see. You posted that in January, and now... :P Still, I loved it, man. I liked all the different game references you threw in there, especially the part where he went in the one house, broke all the jars, found a green crystal shard, ignored it, then left only to return in the hopes of possibly finding all the jars unbroken again. It had a few issues, the main being sticking to a tense. It's awesome that you pushed yourself to do present tense (as it's so much easier to do past tense), but you did slip up a couple times. The story is gripping and by including people in the forum, you made it personal for many, which kept it quite gripping. I would like to see more if you actually plan on continuing it, or if not it's very well written on its own.

Dame, what is this nonsense I hear about you not having read Harry Potter?
The world of Potter is an entire fantasy setting right alongside normal modern society, while at the same time perfectly secret from society, which is awesome in itself and adds an underlying thrill of tension, like "Oh no! What if the muggles find out!" throughout the entire series.
On top of that, the characters are believable, normal people. There are no genius bikini supermodels with superpowers and convenient mutations. The only bonus these kids have is that they can learn magic. But they do have to learn it, spending most of every year at a special school. And even then, there are strengths and weaknesses. For example, if you need anything blown to smithereens, get your grubby paws on Seamus instead of Ginny and so on.
FURTHERMORE! Every single book is a mystery of who is causing problems, how, and how to stop it. Every minute detail is important-- in book 1 we know exactly who Nicholas Flamel is right early, but only in passing. It's not until nearly the end of the book that we learn how important it was to remember that name! Every detail woven into a tapestry of importance! That made no sense, but whatever.
It's a classic good vs. evil story with great characters. You even sorta like the bad guys. The setting is beautifully imagined, the conflicts are gripping, the mastery of detail and foreshadowing is, uh, masterful, and anyways
I can't believe you! Dame, I am so disappoint!

I have read thru the series 2 full times, but 3-4x through the first 4ish books before the others came out! My son's first movie was "Goblet of Fire" at 1 week old and he has gone to see each one at the movies since! We have all the DVDs (pending the last one) at home and we are getting ready to start reading the books to him for bedtime!

Those were a polyjuice potion and a horcrux, not mutations. And Emma Watson might be gorgeous, but in the books Hermione was plain and more cute than beautiful.

Since we all can't be on the same linkshell in game, this can be our cross server linkshell thread.
Like most linkshells, it can be pretty dead at times. Other times it's full of intense conversations about either rl, gear, goals, pokemon or anything else you want to contribute.
We can cover any sort of topic at all, within reason of the forum rules. No real main topic, just a bunch of FFXIAH friends/people coming on and discussing random things.
http://www.nationstates.net/nation=royal_kingdom_of_ni
Continuation from: http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/2873/ffxiah-linkshell/732/#150486
Update: Sorry Eternaltriumph, too much has changed D: (Page 698)
Eternaltriumph said: Yeah Chuu. Bringing you up to speed, Ludoggy is the LS pedophile. I'm the fountain of random and useless knowledge that makes you go "Hrm" with the occasional side of "holy shit he said what?"
Kungfu is the LS nutjob, spouting super random things that are usually sexist, until Savvy or Alyria comes into the room. Then he's a classic case of sexual harrassment. Rumaha is also true to the second part; we're wondering about his sexuality though.
Daj is Ludoggy's gay lover. Not much else is known about this Asuran. Tairo is kinda new, but since is a female and Alyria's lesbian lover, she fit right in real quick.
Celene(F) and Rowland(M) are more of the shyer members, but often say things that are witty, have a good pun and sometimes cause three page discussions. Celene hates when people hit on her. It doesn't stop them from trying.
Krizz is just social and likes to kill time here during work Tbest is about the same, except tends to be a douche to guys and affectionate toward girls.
Alyria is the most social female, gets groped a lot without provoking it by others, and Tairo ends up stabbing people for it. Cai is just a barrel of lols, I might be gay for him. If I wasn't straight.
Not sure about Citag, s/he's new. Kiriyu is just an in-out kinda person. Says one thing every three days that every guy makes a big fuss over. Ludoggy gets really defensive since she's asian and underage (might be 18 now).
Artem is the wayward soul that makes you ponder the meaning of life by constantly reminding us life can suck. But he deals, and so do we. About the same for Savannah, except people are more "AWH!" to her because of a vagina involved.
Dasva is the ex military man (as is Krizz but this doesn't apply to him) who hates the world and plots a way to destroy most of it.
Number2 is kinda like a mix between Cai and I; never bashes, likes to laugh and has odd avatars. His current suits a lot of the convos this LS gets into. Barti is most well known for his moustache. He gives mousatche rides for a fee. I'm missing a few people but whatever. CARRY ON!
Luelle Smells.
