As I read Mag's post, my mind began to wander back to the days of the Banana War. The fighting was fierce, and the enemy was tough as nails. Many lives were lost, on both sides. Fruit and men alike, fighting tooth and peel. It was a gruesome sight to behold. I watched friends, family, and breakfasts die before my very eyes.

My daughter is funny. (6y/o) when we told her that her mother was pregnant, her response:

"Dad, if it's born, & it's a fruit baby, I'm gonna eat it."

Is that why every time someone offers you a fruit cup, you start having Vietnam flashbacks?

If you're bored you could always read it. I feel it's more of a ffxi fanfic though at this point.
Also, I'm doing so as we speak. I'm up to the part where Spence joins the party.

What's the difference between Home/Renter's Insurance and an Umbrella policy?
An umbrella policy is just extra... so say you get 20,000 worth of coverage for 50 a month... and you want some more protection so you get an umbrella policy that will cover you for 50,000 for 25 a month... so once the 20,000 from your orignal policy runs out the umbrella will take over...

Ramuh.Rowland said: »
I looked it up. It's means if you get sued, you won't have to pay as much.
Technically yes because you would have more coverage available lol... but you would also be paying for another policy...

More to come soon.
Orly... Let's see. You posted that in January, and now... :P Still, I loved it, man. I liked all the different game references you threw in there, especially the part where he went in the one house, broke all the jars, found a green crystal shard, ignored it, then left only to return in the hopes of possibly finding all the jars unbroken again. It had a few issues, the main being sticking to a tense. It's awesome that you pushed yourself to do present tense (as it's so much easier to do past tense), but you did slip up a couple times. The story is gripping and by including people in the forum, you made it personal for many, which kept it quite gripping. I would like to see more if you actually plan on continuing it, or if not it's very well written on its own.

Dame, what is this nonsense I hear about you not having read Harry Potter?

The world of Potter is an entire fantasy setting right alongside normal modern society, while at the same time perfectly secret from society, which is awesome in itself and adds an underlying thrill of tension, like "Oh no! What if the muggles find out!" throughout the entire series.

On top of that, the characters are believable, normal people. There are no genius bikini supermodels with superpowers and convenient mutations. The only bonus these kids have is that they can learn magic. But they do have to learn it, spending most of every year at a special school. And even then, there are strengths and weaknesses. For example, if you need anything blown to smithereens, get your grubby paws on Seamus instead of Ginny and so on.

FURTHERMORE! Every single book is a mystery of who is causing problems, how, and how to stop it. Every minute detail is important-- in book 1 we know exactly who Nicholas Flamel is right early, but only in passing. It's not until nearly the end of the book that we learn how important it was to remember that name! Every detail woven into a tapestry of importance! That made no sense, but whatever.

It's a classic good vs. evil story with great characters. You even sorta like the bad guys. The setting is beautifully imagined, the conflicts are gripping, the mastery of detail and foreshadowing is, uh, masterful, and anyways

I can't believe you! Dame, I am so disappoint!

Dirty muggle king. >.>

I <3 you Liela!!!

I have read thru the series 2 full times, but 3-4x through the first 4ish books before the others came out! My son's first movie was "Goblet of Fire" at 1 week old and he has gone to see each one at the movies since! We have all the DVDs (pending the last one) at home and we are getting ready to start reading the books to him for bedtime!

And Emma Watson

Those were a polyjuice potion and a horcrux, not mutations. And Emma Watson might be gorgeous, but in the books Hermione was plain and more cute than beautiful.

Mag hasn't seen it either and he actually talked down on it... said he'd only watch it if someone had a gun to his head and made him pick between that or twilight...

Also so I don't get in more trouble I haven't read them either...
