LOL ... that is hands down, the best way I have ever heard anyone announce they were expecting! You need to get a shirt that says "Sperm Donor" on the front. =D

a good friend once told me she "had a bun in the oven" that one was my favorite.

- not on the phedo subject, but in response to elspetta's request for baby pictures, I knocked up ze wife again, I can supply some around christmas :D (assuming things go swell) please no "congratulations", making a baby is about the easiest thing someone can do, we are well equipped to raise it, so I guess there's something there, but yeah..... on a completely unrelated note, anyone wants to play some minecraft on the crapbox360 with mes? nights and weekends? oi? <3?
How about instead of congratulations on the baby...
Take all my +'s

Don't worry about it. I had something to add, but I didn't think it was Ni appropriate either.

As for GPA it's really only a critical concern when you're entering into an entry level job that's has high competition... but even then it's only part of the equation. It also depends on what field you're entering... It definitely doesn't hurt to have a high GPA but it doesn't kill you to have an average one... It's definitely more critical to help get into a good college or grad school than anything as I think Leila already brought up... You're first job out of school though they usually always ask for your GPA as your resume is pretty flimsy at that time. Mine even asked for a copy of my transcripts.
I worked before getting out of hs... and we were talking of college gpa, or at least I was. My hs gpa would have been a lot higher if it weren't for my sophmore year, had like a 1.0 for that year, had a 2.8~ total.
I worked before getting out of HS too... my stints at toys r us and all the other places I worked don't really apply to the position I wanted... You mold your resume to fit not only your accomplishments/work history so far but also so that it reflects how you could be beneficial to the position you want. If I was going to apply to be a computer tech I wouldn't put down that I worked at toys r us stocking shelves. And I was talking about college GPA too for the most part... my current position when I applied they requested my college transcripts...
customer service experience is just about always beneficial to a resume, and that's interesting...
Lol I just picture you as a terrible customer service rep... but maybe you can change your demeanor to fill that role who knows...

depends on my mood, but I find competency > fake smile, the industry disagrees. Hence why I won't go into the field.

The industry actually likes both but takes what it can get... They do frown upon people calling the customer an idiot and yelling at them though... even if you are right...

Competency in customer service is more than just being able to gather the info and spew it out... you have to be able to convey the message in a way that the customer will be able to understand it too... If you offend people or leave them confused even if you have the correct answer then you've failed at any form of customer service...

Every job I've ever worked stuck me right into customer service. ._. I really can't stand it, but apparently I'm nice to people even when they are being morons. I can't even work fast food without this happening. xD When I worked at A&W I specifically asked to be backline (food preparation) and they said I was very good at it, better than some of the other backline workers, but still made me do frontline (taking orders) every single day.

Why ;; ;; ;;

Because you are a cute, nice female, and that attracts customers.

meh, I disagree when it comes to tech support.

Like day 1 of my class, the teacher said "you would want your doctor to be nice wouldn't you?" I respond "no I want them to keep me healthy, I don't give two shits if they put on a fake smile or not."

But you aren't the only person that lives in this world. You have to adapt your personality to those you are dealing with. If I call tech support, yes, I want someone who is competent, but I also want them to talk to me, not just spew their knowledge at me. Being factual is important and nobody is asking a tech support person to lie, just to be nice, but they definitely need to be pleasant to work with.

Same with a doctor. I want him/her to have a nice bed side manner and be able to tell me things, even difficult things, while being somewhat compassionate. My Mom's doctor told her she had breast cancer in a very flippant way while on the phone, instead of telling her in person. That is completely rude and uncalled for. My doctor gave me my results over the phone, but that was because my results were of a happier nature. I'm sure if I had the genetic mutation that causes breast cancer, I would have had to drive to the office so we could discuss our next courses of action.
